From what I've read, even having taken a payday loan, no matter how long ago, will pretty much debar me from being able to get a mortgage. Seemingly it's a huge red flag when they look at your borrowing history, no matter how long ago it was.

Also I did want to go down the bankruptcy route, but could afford to (it cost £200 in 2012 to do it).

It depends. If you've taken one payday loan five years ago, paid it back and have never taken another, then most banks / building societies aren't interested.

If you've taken three in the past year, that's a red flag.

Incidentally, there is no such thing as a "credit score" in the UK. They are marketing gimmicks run by the credit referencing agencies.

Seeing your "credit score" can still be useful though, especially if you think you'll have problems getting credit.

The sites will have suggestions on how to improve your credit too, although they all push "offers" on you more than they used to.

Decided last year to have a go at Margaritas, give up after a few attempts because they were all too strong regardless of the mixture/proportions.  If you find an acceptable one please let us know.

Been a while but I used to go 2 parts Tripe Sec to one part tequila. Maybe freeze some glasses too and then salt the rim before pouring the drink in. Plenty of slices of lemon.

Cocktail paraphernalia purchased, mostly for the wee measuring cup, I'll keep you in the loop.

First attempt seems to be lacking, I'll need to adjust the ratios, this experiment may drift into the new year.

First effort I used bottled lime juice, next effort, equal parts Tequila, Cointreau and fresh lime juice seems to hit the spot.

£1.35 for the limes for 2 shots though.

I suppose cockney wankers could have pie and mash.com
The Cockney wankers I know are always bigging up pie and mash. I've never had it. Is it shite?
I was in such an establishment a few years ago and it was tasty as f*ck. It was in central London though so was a bit pricier than an East end shit hole.

Does anyone get their milk delivered from a dairy? And if so, is it worth it?

We're going to try dundee dairy - but I'm a bit worried that it's just graham's stuff, that you could get from any supermarket.

I'm confused here. Graham's is a dairy.

And by Graham's stuff do you mean semi-skimmed milk?

The delivery offers all kinds of milk, as well as cream, cheese, butter, juice, and milkshakes.

I'm just wondering if folk who use it think it's worth it.
