Does anyone know if Halifax ultimate reward travel insurance would cover a tablet broken on holiday?

If not, does anyone know of an insurer who does cover accidental breakage to electronics? I am struggling to find specifics on the halifax one.

Asking for a time traveller....

It does say it covers accidental loss, theft or damage to personal belongings. On their stand alone travel insurance personal belongings includes electronics so you might be okay.

I'm a guarantor on an Amigo Loans for my brother and he's made all the payments which finishes in December. Now he's asked to increase it and extend it which would be fine but the wife and I are looking to moving house next year and wanted to know if this would look bad when going for a mortgage. We've been a home owner for 10 years now and got decent scores on our credit check but don't want this Amigo loan fucking things up. Cheers in advance.

Any scooter/motorbike commuters here?

I'm going to be working in Glasgow City Centre and have about a 14 mile commute from Cumbernauld. Car is a no go due to parking. So it's either bike, bus or train. If I go on two wheels I can park in the basement car park gratis.

I'm considering a 125cc 4 stroke scooter or small motorbike and wondering if anyone has any experience of riding in Glasgow? I own a car and have been driving for about 9 years without incident, so have my wits about me traffic wise and well aware most of the dangers would come in the form of c***s in their cars looking at their phone.

I think I could make it make financial sense, it's more the chance of becoming a streak on the road that is causing me to be wary.

Budgie died this morning. Would u show your kids ( aged 6 and 4) the dead body of the budgie or just tell them the budgie died ?

If it was a gunshot to the head or crushed by a truck then no. Otherwise probably yes. Kids need to learn about these things and they've probably seen dead animals lying around.

Hide it and open a window and ask them 'right, which one of you c***s left the window open?'

There's loads of cyclists, let alone motorbike/moped riders in Glasgow city centre.

Biggest danger are the bus drivers who are aggressive & ignorant to everyone else on the road, rest of the road users are pretty good for a city.

Going to Glasgow with girlfriend on Saturday. Staying next to George square. Any decent pubs we should go? And a place to eat Saturday night?

The SoHo bar down Miller Street is very close to where you are staying and remains one of Glasgow's best kept secrets. Specialises in pizzas, but also does seafood, burgers, etc. Easily the friendliest staff in Glasgow.

Droughy Neebors just off George Square a few paces down Queen Street is a lovely all wood panelled bar which does excellent food. The biggest drawback is that it's now a Belhaven pub, so managerial turnarounds can be without warning and if it's some oxygen thief that's taken charge you can expect the service to crash dive with it.

Avoid the Counting House at all costs, the bar/restaurant equivalent of a McDonalds - your girlfriend will not thank you for even a quick drink there.

Just tell them - showing it to them would be a different cuttle of fish, and I imagine they'd be less than Trilled to see it.

Tell them and ask if they want to say goodbye.
Sounds horrible but will prep for elderly relatives when that time comes as you can gauge reactions

I'd recommend Paesano for dinner on Miller St. They don't take bookings so a Saturday night could prove difficult but they do the best pizza in Glasgow imo.

Show them and tell them you killed it as punishment for not tidying their bedroom. They will have renewed respect for your law in the house.
