Fife Saint
Is this the sort of message the SFL want to send out to wreckless clubs like Dundee? What a fucking joke.
WaffenThinMint
I love these comments from the Airdrie fans about how they'd rather be in the Second Division. We are desperate to play in the First Division in place of Livy Yes it is ironic, isn't it Captain - most of the SPL wants you to be playing in the First Division as well...
The Old Northerner
Latest blurb on LivvyLions Received a reply from the SFL and it says - Livingston will receive a 15 point deduction and if no buyer u=is found by the start of the season you will be demoted to Div 3. Take that as you will
Andyboy
If this is another "deadline" then the SFL lose all respect. Massone is a lunatic and he will not sell as he knows the league is fucking toothless when it comes to sorting this.
stuartcraig
I love these comments from the Airdrie fans about how they'd rather be in the Second Division. We're looking forward to a "Goals For" tally reaching double figures. I've corrected it for you. Stuart
Monster
League considering rule change to boot out Massone So it says on Scotland Today. It's no surprise really. Certain clubs in Scotland can behave how they like and be continually saved. This time it's a 'rule change'. The next Livi Chairman can no doubt rob a bank with a sawn-off shotgun and not only get away with it, but have a rule change to suit. Fucking joke.

Ivo den Bieman
That is pretty much the biggest scandal in Scottish football history since the controversy regarding Airdrie and Clydebank, if true. Why shoulds clubs like mine endure shite football for years, playing by the rules and living within our means, hoping for a turn in our fortunes by fair means, if scum like this continually get away with shiteing all over the rule book and laughing in our faces? Remember this is the same SFL that is pursuing Brechin with great pedantic vigour over their pitch not being UEFA-compliant. Play by the rules and the authorities shaft you, ignore the rules blatantly and the authorities bend over to keep you in business by any means whatever. That's the clear message this sends out. It's an absolute fucking disgrace. Edited July 30, 2009 by Ivo den Bieman
bsd
Disgraceful, SFL are a fucking joke. Oh well, see you all here again this time next year.
Jay Silverheels
If indeed Livi are saved, then the moral of the story is that if you are going to mismanage a football team, wait until just before the season starts to go into administration, spend outwith your means, don't pay your bills, stiff your creditors, and then wait on the administrator blinking first. Then when all that is done, sit back and wait on the spineless idiots at the SFL telling you that it's okay to do all these things, that you'll escape with your league place intact with only the loss of three wins and a draw. Oh, you'll also get to keep your team intact as well. An absolute fucking farce, a massive climbdown by the administrator, who thought Massone would blink first when he gave him a deadline, and then extended it when he saw that Massone was not playing his game. The SFL have been an incompetent bunch of spineless buffoons throughout the whole escapade. They should have had their ducks in a row long before now. The SFL is a complete joke.
Ivo den Bieman
Now confirmed by radio Scotland. MacDougall and Rankine have agreed to fund the club for a year and will continue to work on Massone to get hold of his shares. The worst that will happen is div 3 football.
Guest The Bhoys
Lets see how quickly Livi survive, I wonder how they expect the debt to just dissapear. It will need to be paid or is the ususal so much in the pound excuse going to be used again. To be perfectly honest with you getting absolutely sick of Scottish Football and football in general. No wonder fans of clubs like AFC Wimbledon and United of Manchester decided to go their own way, football is becoming a joke at the senior levels.

They should have had their ducks in a row long before now. The SFL is a complete joke. All well and good saying it. What is to be done about it? The Livvy fans have had plenty of slagging for not being particularly 'active'. What options are available to the supporters to protest this decision (if, indeed, it has come to pass - haven't switched the radio or TV on)
Guest penelope pitstop
That is a disgrace. The SFL clearly did not want to have one league with only nine clubs in it and were prepared to do anything to avoid that. However it should be very clear to any supplier what may well happen if you supply to football clubs - so the message has to be NO CREDIT because you will get shafted and the clubs governing body will be complicit in that. HMRC should now get their act together and hound every club in Scotland for their money the moment they are late paying.

Unfortunately Scottish Football is and has been all about self-interest for a very long time, they are all scared to put proper measures in place in case it is their clubs neck on the block in the future. We just lurch from crisis to crisis without putting measures in place that actually safegaurd the clubs that all fans love so much.
