Pffff. Deflection and whataboutery!

It is clear that your club signed some players they thought might help them win First Division matches.

Falkirk FC - worse than Hitler.

Quite.

I feel sorry for Ayr in all this. Their chairman was busy building all these SPL complient stadia whilst neglecting his own side. Actually, I don't feel bad for Ayr at all. They are still in existence while the sides that chased the 10K dream drift further and further up shit creek.

Indeed, such a heinous act.

We'd have had our stadium long since if Bill Barr hadn't been a significant contributor to the Conservative party in Ayr, but Sam Galbraith decided to use a perfectly good application to kick Barr with. Don't really think Barr was all that bothered in the end though, considering the debt he left us with.

A debt that we repaid 100p in the £ to avoid liquidation by the way, and didn't just go into administration and sack everyone and start afresh, unlike some other clubs we are currently being emotionally blackmailed into feeling sorry for.

Funnily enough, we repaid our debts in full as well.

What mugs!

Dae talk fucking pish, Raith Rovers FC whilst still in the Premier league were told to build our 10,000 plus all seated stadium during the 95/96 season, which we did to comply with that ruling. That alone nearly bankrupted us, so going by your logic we chased that dream, f**k right off. Every aspiring team in the 1st was chasing that dream, but had to comply to the criteria. Weren't Falkirk an aspiring team at that time, and why didn't you do the same. But luckily for you the ruling changed to 6000.

Don't get too cocky on a thread with lower league clubs. Remember your team have a fucking gazebo as part of its stadium, have St Mirren stealing your best players and your team have been pumped in Europe by Swiss shoe shine boys.

To be fair, he's absolutely right. The decision to roll over and accept unreasonable minimum requirements was probably the major decision that that board got wrong.

Did Raith not have the casting vote on the creation of the SPL with all its bizarre and franky stupid rulings?

Whoaaah there big boy, calm down. Whilst it is true about your club being forced to comply with the 10,000 seat situation it is no one's fault but the ruling bodies at the time. Everyone and their dog could see it was wrong and it has cost more than a few clubs a lot of money. We did not do the same as your club because we were being run by a succession of piss poor chairmen and boards who were more interested in self gain than the club itself. Infact we almost folded without going down the route of getting a new stadium (can't you remember that?).

We weren't in a position to argue with the ruling, that was my understanding. Every team was told if they wanted to play in the premier league, the 10,000 seating arrangement was not negotiable.

The big bad Premier League and their bully boy tactics!

If only there had been some sort of system of democratic votes to be made on these sorts of crucial issues by the board of directors of individual clubs or something......

So you tell them to stick their Premier League membership up their arse and you embarass them by winning the First Division a couple of times. Nothing should have been more important than solvency.

We can argue that in hindsight we can get everythin right and I was too young to have much of an understanding or opinion, but I do recall that (correct) opinion being voiced.

A letter to the league from a Livi fan, don't think it will help?

I apologise for what may be one of many letters the Scottish Football League may receive from rather irate Livingston FC supporters.

This is a personal letter and whilst it may be reflective of the thoughts of over a thousand supporters, it is not written on behalf of any Group within Livingston FC.

In light of this afternoon’s announcement that Livingston FC Chairman Angelo Massone is refusing to relinquish his ownership and interest in the club, the appointed Administration Manager Mr McGruther from Mazars LLP, has little choice but to consider the process that could result in closure of the Club.

The consequences of this situation will mean that the Scottish Football League may have to give due consideration to the plight of the Club and the impact this may have on the League.

As one of many hundreds of Livingston FC supporters, I respectfully ask that the SFL please do all they can to consider what ever action may be possible to help the Livingston FC supporters through a strong supporters Trust and new owner / investors, take on the responsibility of running the club in the Scottish Football League.

Livingston FC’s current financial standing is well publicised and reported and has shocked its fans, players and staff to the gunnels. The clubs staff, players and supporters are indeed the innocent victims as a result of the clubs present desperate situation. Late or non payment of playing staff wages will be a familiar problem already flagged to SFL along with unwarranted staff dismissal.

There have been very painful lessons learned and the Livingston FC Livi For Life Supporters Trust has matured through this crisis to a level of high confidence in being able to deliver a workable plan, through considerable supporter based business experience, for the survival and long term sustainability of the Club. This plan will see Livingston FC work with ambition and competitiveness but most importantly, living within its financial capabilities and responsibilities.

There is still at this late hour, a possibility of the Chairman backing down and all Livingston Fans are desperately clinging to the hope this may happen though various discussions to persuade him this is in the best interest of our club.

New potential owners and investors of good standing exist and there is high confidence evident in an Owner / Trust partnership doing the right thing with the Club and its responsibilities to again be successful and earn the respect we wish our Club to aspire to.

Livingston FC is absolutely at the heart of West Lothian and a real asset to the Community. The demise of the Club would have a devastating impact on a large number of dedicated and passionate fans, administrative staff, Players and a successful youth policy. This impact would extend to many other community groups schools and institutions that benefit from the Clubs existence.

Despite the understandable forced action to address outstanding debt, West Lothian Council have publicly stated they are also desperate to have a successful Senior Football Team to benefit the community.

We are passionate about the clubs future and are very well prepared to do all necessary to ensure Livingston FC survives and thrives to a level of earned respect and sustainability. We have lost many fans through the current situation and we are confident of attracting them and others back to a revitalised Livi.

I would be very grateful if this letter could be urgently shared with colleagues who may be considering the recent turn of events. Please do all that is possible to give our Club its staff and supporters the chance to recover this situation and to prove we can survive and progress in Scottish Senior Football.

You could have always, you know, voted against it.

Indeed, hell mend the greedy b*****ds that voted for it. A few clubs have suffered, both on and off the park, because of their short-sighted, greed. f**k them.
