Cptn Hooch
Apparently Watford, Newcastle, Burnley and Birmingham have all been looking at Fitzwater. Did not expect. Hope this new kid from Liverpool is decent, he might be needed sooner rather than later.Could be some good cash coming our way if that's true
LiviLion
He's been really good this season but if anyone's willing to pay close to a million take it and run. If he does go there's surely no chance it's as high a fee as that, but I'm sure there's someone DM will have had his eye on in case we get a bid.
EdinburghLivi
Great player but that is a lot of money which we would be silly to turn down. Hope it comes off for him, seems a good guy. Edited January 24 by EdinburghLivi
LIVIFOREVER
Yeah he's really come into his own this season, we've done incredibly well with our CB recruitment this past wee while, Halkett, Gallagher, Lithgow, Guthrie, Fitzwater, and Obileye.

How come you missed Pepe Cese and Steven Saunders from the list?
ol1vercloff
Fairly confident that Fitzwater will not be leaving us for an English Premier League side this season. It's got a whiff of the sort of rumours like Snodgrass going on trial at Barcelona when he was a youngster at Livi.

Got a lot of rumours about Knox as well; all of which came to nothing, but Knox and Snodgrass were just kids at the time. The fact that Fitzwater is 24, coming on 25, makes this rumour even more strange. I actually do think at least one side will come in with an offer but would be surprised if it was five figures.
ATLIS
I think Fitzwater would be a massive loss for us. He’s been our best defender this season, he looks completely changed from last season. I’m not even sure what the right price would be, given it has a chance to derail our season completely if he isn’t replaced. 1m in a lot of money for him but we’d need to spend a chunk replacing him - maybe someone like Robbie Deas?
Monkey socks
Where is the story about Fitzwater coming from? I've looked at the usual suspects but see nothing

Could be one for @RandomGuy. but surely he's only going there to be loaned out/deep backup with U23 game time

LIVIFOREVER
Would be great if we got a million for him and loaned back to us for the remainder of the season.
Monkey socks
Thanks . The location spread of the publications carrying the story makes me think it does have legs. He'd be a loss but the pain could be softened with a 7 figure transfer fee.

Like he ranks 2nd in the league for def duel won %, and pretty high for through balls completed, but beyond that hes not really in the top 10 for many metrics just looking at the Premiership.

I would imagine 1m + a sell on is in 'bite your hand off' territory then

FreedomFarter
My guess would be it's at best conjecture given Daily Mail is the only source. Here's Martindale commenting on it, anyway. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/jack-fitzwater-to-newcastle-livingston-boss-has-say-on-speculation-get-their-chequebooks-3540022 Edited January 24 by FreedomFarter

In any even unless a side asks for the player on trial; I very much doubt "interest" is anything more than that. The window closes in less than a week doesn't it?
