Are those rumours or just more of a wish list? Obileye is the only one I've actually seen us linked with I think.

Genuine rumours based on stuff I’ve seen across Twitter. Fits the bill with our method of signing as well. Think a lot of the conversation came from us being interested in more out of contract championship players.

Away to Aberdeen in the next round of the Scottish cup.

Home to Forfar or Dundee United if we win.

Another performance like we put in against Aberdeen last time and we will have a good chance.

Pap them out the cup and take the 4th place spot  from them in the league would do me.

Any chance this will be televised so we get a decent watch, and not some pish ppv stream?

Nice pitch level view of Poplatnik's winning goal.

What a tackle by Jacko too, superb timing.

I'd like to see Poplatnick get more game time, for me he seems to hav a bit more awareness in and around the opposition box, than some of our other options.

Great turnaround by the lads on Saturday after a tricky start and no fear about a trip to Pittodrie in the next round..

Up till his injury against Utd (i think) he was the natural like for like replacement to Robbo, then Robbo got injured, think that was another game against Utd (c***s have a habit of injuring our strikers, Hardie, Raffa, Poplatnik, Robbo), about time he's getting a regular starting place, even if it's in the hole behind Jet. He makes things happen, is small and nippy like Robbo, and wins his headers, for a wee guy he holds the ball up better than Jet too.

Totally agree LF,he is lively that's for sure and like you I would like to see him win more game time,as feel he is more than good enough.

We were quite a bit behind the rest of the league in the 2020 review. I am unaware of clubs across Europe being denied access to qualifying on issues that aren't financial but that may be because we are far more tin pot than others.

Do club licensing rules also apply to clubs in tiny nations? Hard to see them complying with some of the criteria.

I'm imagining our biggest issue is the non existence of a youth academy of some sort

The latest one is here: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/7557/club-licensing-current-update-february-2021.pdf

They presumably apply to all nations. You see it in the footnotes on Wikipedia, four clubs failed to get a licence here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019–20_UEFA_Europa_League#Teams

Page 80 of the SFA licensing manual has the UEFA criteria.

Can understand Covid affecting money for the youth system up to a point.
Failing to submit accounts by the required time? No excuse.

Thanks for the info!

I read from a 2012 UEFA licensing update that exemptions could be applied for teams from lower divisions but there are only mentions of exemptions in relation to FFP in later versions. It seems like SFA would have to be generous in applying for a license based on pandemic circumstances.

It appears there was a 3 month extension for private companies to submit annual accounts last year. I noticed this recently as our accounts (as of June) usually come out end of March. As a result, I imagine SFA could show leniency on this ruling.

Heaven knows what their situation would have been like without the Dykes money!

Livingston face European football exclusion over regulations failure - BBC Sport

hahaha what the f**k are you on about? The club just announced it's reached an agreement with Nixon to clear the remaining debt. We've cleared about 2m over the last five years and haven't made a loss in at least 6.

Falkirk on the other hand, might not survive at all if they f**k up promotion this time around...

Can we please stop playing JET up front on his own? I am begging Martindale to consign the notion to the fucking bin. We're totally blunted as a team if the front man cannot press, we were snookered after 15 minutes in today. If Robinson is away as suspected come the end of the season I'd go as far to say we're looking at signing another tranche of strikers to replace the current lot.

I'm also seriously concerned that Stryjek's back must be totally fucked. No way we're persisting with McCrorie otherwise.

All in all, feels like this season is dying out with a whimper. Wouldn't be surprised at all if St Johnstone overtook us. We desperately need something to click otherwise I'm struggling to see how we progress in the Cup next week nor get another point on the board this season.
