This kind of talk fuels uneccasarry and unfounded speculation that really isn’t needed at a time when the club and fans are all pulling in the same direction and things are going fairly well compared to our recent history, this is the sort of thing that splits fan bases and unsettle players.

I understand that it needs talked about, I understand some fans worries, we all care about our football club and want what’s best for it, but having spoken to a fair few of the directors and John Ward on many occasions I’m very comfortable with the direction the club is heading.

Its not about bringing the club down ~ i applaud many who are currently working hard. What happens when they all fall out or get fed up with Livi. Its going great today, tomorrow, but i am not comfortable that we wont find ourselves in a postion like we have before.  I agree we are seeing some unity amongst the fans (happens much easier when we are winning)

I am not comfortable that while on paper Rankine doesnt have a say in our club but financially he does. If John Ward was here with his team then i’d be alot more comfortable.

We can sweep it into the cupboard meantime though...

I think Ward has the best intentions, and is running us as such. I don't think we're living outwith our means, or in a way that will harm the club long term
Having spoken to John Ward on a few occasions now I believe he is very much the right man to move us forward.
He is running the club like a business, he has a habit of taking over struggling businesses and turning them around.
He is a local man who I believe has the best intentions for the club, we had a budget this season, we’ve stuck to it, even when it may have been tempting to go and get Andy Ryan for example we said no we have a budget, in the past that probably wouldn’t have been the case.
We are very much stable finacially right now with the right people incharge looking to take us forward.

Genuinely, how on earth do you think that running a full time set up is achievable on your crowds? There's no way your posting a profit or breaking even.

Not that its really any of your concern but actually I believe we have now reported making a small trading profit for three years running now

I can understand @Livi's concerns with our history but John Ward genuinely seems like a breath of fresh air compared to our rogues gallery of previous helmsmen. He's running the club like a business and letting the football minded people run the football side by the sounds of it. I have faith that the right man is in charge...there may be some tough decisions to make in the future but I'm sure any decision made by John and the team will be for the benefit of Livingston FC

A quick look at your website says that was largely down to having Hibs, Rangers and Hearts during that time, that your estimated to make a loss for your year in league 1, will be interesting to see how your accounts fare this season.

Hibs barely managed to exceed a good Falkirk travelling support - partially due to most of our home games against them being televised. Hearts had the best impact on the gate but that was unfortunately only for one season. Unfortunately all three visitors required a hefty and expensive security presence; actually I've be surprised if Hibs showed any profit based on all the shenanigans with fireworks and having to escort significant numbers to Livi South station.  Hearts must have shown a decent profit for us and for the local traders though.

Really hoping that these signing rumours are true. Including getting Austin.

In reference to the mistake in the book, it states that Dominic Keane was not at the CIS cup final. The pictures immediately after the final whistle prove otherwise.

Pretty sure the signing rumours are a wind up; there's no way we'd be offering two year contracts at this stage.

With regard to DK at the CIS cup final he was definitely there although I think he was as a guest rather than as chairman at that stage. The club went into administration on the same night we won the semi final against Dundee at Easter Road.

We're officially out the race, he's going to either ICT or Raith, ICT offered a house and double what we'd pay

Talk to me about Pittman.

He's been offered a 2 year extension, not much more you need to know

We run on a small scale full time operation, there's some part time teams that offer more wages than us easily.  Given our wage cap is roughly 500pw I doubt we're living outwith our means

100% those three have been offered 2 year deals.

FT =/= big wages; I’d be very surprised if there’s a full-time team in the country barring Airdrie who offer less than ourselves. The Austin situation sums it up perfectly; it’s now the second time this season that Raith, slogging it out in League 1, have offered a far better package to someone we wanted to sign. ICT can shell out a hell of a lot more than us given the respective recent histories of both sides, and even having the luxury of chucking in accommodation too. Would’ve loved to have seen Austin here, but there’s no need to burst the budget for one guy who’s not desperate to be here (can’t blame him at all).

We will always be a selling club, and it doesn’t matter if it’s to Falkirk, St Mirren or an English side. Pittman to Falkirk would take the biscuit but money talks unfortunately, I’d be mightily disappointed if we couldn’t at least get one of the top performers on a long-term deal and make some serious money off them come summer time, but sometimes we’re left with no real option (see Mullen, Danny).

Agree with the shouts regarding John Ward. Good guy, if he’s given an extended run at this without any daft shit being sprung on us from cretins like Rankine then we’ll be in a far better state than any Livingston fan could have imagined in the past decade. I’m just enjoying this season whilst it lasts seeing as we’ll be scrapping for 8th come April 2019, should half the squad depart.

Yeah DK was at the ground parading the cup to the fans after the game when we got home, letting fans have a touch of the cup as he walked round the edge of the pitch. Pretty sure our fans were singing Quino and he thought it was to him (Keano), but it was to Francisco Quino as Rubio was on the pitch at the time phoning him in Spain, telling him we'd won the cup.

Ive heard that Partick Thistle are monitoring Craig Halkett and Shaun Byrne. I’ve seen Archibald at our last couple games. He will be keeping an eye on Penrice and supposedly looking at Halkett and Byrne

If the other 2 have caught Archie’s eye then that’s just good/bad luck depending on who you support. How good/potentials are we talking? positions/playstlye?

Halkett was at Sevco and we picked him up a couple of seasons ago when he was released, cracking CB now and def good enough for the Premiership. Byrne came from Dunfermline and has been part of a very good midfield 2/3 with Pittman and Jacobs, not sure he's good enough for Premiership though, he's a good Championship player but might be a risk signing him for a level above.

Both are too good to be playing with us for much longer though, same with Pittman, hoping we can hold onto them for the rest of the season, and hopefully the talk of us offering them 2 year deal extensions are true, and that they sign them.
