It ees with regret though that Angelo Mascarpine must tell the ambassadors, generales, capos and foot soldiers of the Angelo Mascarpone Leevengtone that the enemies of Angelo Mascarpone have won.

I cana take no more and I have a sore head today so I stay in Rome.

Angelo Mascarpone does everything possibel for the success of Leevingstone but the deposit of £100,000 in my Leevingstone dream account is the finalo straw. I mean what can Angelo buy with £100,000.

Angelo ees away for a lie down. On his sun lounger...ciao thickos!

You're not the same tit who posts in a very similar fashion on the Airdrie site are you? You are about as funny as an egg boiling.

The attitude on here is sickening. It is not the fault of Livi fans' that an Italian has come into power and continued to destroy the club. Why would anyone want them to go down the drain?

The club has potential, and hopefully they can come through this. The fans certainly deserve so much more.

Muggy, you need to read your Livingston history books. Go back as far as Bill Hunter. It is 14 years of debt payment avoidance. It isn't something new......it is the way they have operated from day one. No-one is really putting the cart before the horse here. This isn't an unfortunate support fallen upon hard times. This is an ongoing tale of a club that simply avoids the debts it accrues trying to be a big player. The supporters of Livingston could well deserve better. However, they have simply refused to learn the lessons from their own past, and in that respect, there is precious little sympathy to be had. Lets be honest here. If certain council members did not have huge LFC sympathies (and that opens a whole can of worms in itself), then this club would already have been wound up. It is being propped up by public money at the moment..........270k of it. The move from paying a year in advance to a year in arrears also meant that council members effectively wrote off 150k in income. I can't remember the council being so magnanimous with any of their other tenants debts. All this for an outfit that have linked the name of the town with deceit and corruption.........not sporting excellence.

Eviction, the council would have to go to court to throw them out though and he would defend it so probably would run for months.

Winding up petition, again he would defend/seek an adjournment so probably looking at 3 - 6 months for that to kick in, if at all.

Admin, would an IP take the appointment given that there is no money for his fees?

Something needs to be sorted one way or another with Livi and it needs to be soon to let other clubs get organised.

Eviction - generally evicton for non payment in a commercial lease is easier than a domestic eviction. All you have to prove is non payment for a decree. You are right though, if Massone defends a date will be set for a hearing and the timing of that will depend on the court's diary.

Winding up - The council would lodge a petition and ask for a provisional liquidator to be appointed. After first deliverance it has to be advertised and Massone gets 8 days from the advert to lodge defences. Given the very public nature of the company's difficulties, proving it can't pay its debts as they fall due should not be a problem but again, there is the whole timing issue in terms of how fast the wheels of justice turn.

Admin - the council would have to underwrite fees as they would to get an IP to take the liquidation.

I still think Mr Massone will disappear shortly and abandon the club and the Scottish Football League to whatever its fate is to be.

Livingston have lurched closer to administration after admitting they are unlikely to be able to pay rent arrears of £280,000 by Tuesday's deadline.

The news was delivered to West Lothian Council on Thursday by Livi chairman Angelo Massone, who instead offered an enhanced payment plan to the landlord.

Club chairman Angelo Massone refused to comment other than to tell BBC Scotland that "discussions are ongoing".

Livi had staved off the threat of court action on Monday by paying £10,000.

The local authority had threatened to take action should that regular payment not arrive.

Massone has consistently insisted that Livingston would meet the deadline for the payment in full - £280,000 plus VAT - due to the council for use of Almondvale Stadium.

However, BBC Scotland understands that he has now told the council that this is unlikely to be the case.

A council spokesman would only confirm: "Confidential discussions have taken place with Livingston FC this morning.

"We previously agreed a deadline of 30 June with the club by which time we have asked them to provide evidence that they can meet all other outstanding obligations to the council.

"A secure future for senior football at Livingston remains our priority."

Livingston this week sold striker Leigh Griffiths to First Division rivals Dundee for £125,000.

But they have other creditors awaiting payment, including Scottish Power, which only last week cut off the electricity at the stadium after a bill of £32,000 was left unpaid.

Thursday's meeting with the council was also attended by former Dumbarton owner Neil Rankine, who has been holding talks with Massone about a possible involvement in the club.

Former Cowdenbeath chairman Gordon McDougall had talks with the Livi chairman two weeks ago.
