Yeh, get your point but the painfull fact is we don't have anywhere near enough season ticket holders to fill the West stand on any givin Saturday. The club is a business and has to generate as much income as they possibly can. Its sad but most other clubs do it,and we're no different. There will be Sevco fans in our stand.Wouldnt it be brilliant if they have a shitey day, although highly unlikely. Depressing. 😢.

No they don’t - every other club have controls in place to stop the auld filth getting into the home end and potentially causing a riot. Watch the likes of killie, Motherwell, st mirren etc vs the auld scum…loads of empty seats in the home end and no complaints from home fans. We’re by far the worst for whoring ourselves out to the scum. It’s an absolute embarrassment and totally shameful. I don’t go to the auld firm games - it’s always a highly unpleasant experience.

let them buy their tickets and refuse them entry...money pocketed by the club and no opposition fans in the home end

I go to all the home games, never particularly bothered me.

only time i've witnessed bother in the home end was at the Dundee relegation game, 2 women started having a go at each other when Dundee fan started jumping up and down celebrating them scoring, she was then escorted out the stand, and a woman Livi fan was being held back by her husband aimed a kick at her and kicked her son by mistake.

Usually away fans from all our games sitting in the hospo just to the right of me making far more noise supporting their teams, hospo ones can be tanked up twats but can't say i've witnessed any more than verbals directed towards them.

There's been a lot of trouble behind the home dugout over the last few years. Think there was a game against Rangers a while ago where you had 10-15 Livi fans shouting at stewards and pointing out a group of Rangers fans celebrating them scoring

Better sitting behind the away dugout, nae bother there. Heard a few things about the Livi fans over behind the home dugout, some giving verbals to Martindale and him getting annoyed with it. Bunch of trouble makers.:jerry:lol:

I ended up having a go at one of them last season, the guy was giving Martindale absolute pelters after the Motherwell game. It was clear he was just as disappointed as us all but the guy was acting like we'd just been relegated :D Swiftly told to get a grip.

A belter of a shout in the last game with someone sounding annoyed shouting to let Josh take the free kick. He punts it clear over the bar :D

Martindale's reactions tend to just be turning around looking confused or annoyed with shouts, but he spends some of his time talking to fans about refs/linesman being shite as well.

Missed this bit:

Quote

Livingston boss David Martindale says the club are still searching for a replacement for Jack Hamilton after two signings fell at the final hurdle.

The 22-year-old was loaned out to English League Two club Hartlepool United last week for the season with an option to buy.

Sounds like Jack could be on the way out?

That article worried me as opening a door to signing Griffiths until January.

As for Hamilton, might be the article you've linked but sure he said he hoped Hartlepool trigger it and buy him

Not sure what the situation is with Jack, biggest problem may have been his age if he had signed for someone Livi would have been due something for him, if he does something at Hartlepool and they do decide to buy him its money for the club, but I so wanted him to break through this season, although I don't think he is suited to our style with a central front man whether that's 2 out wide and one centre or just 1 up top.  Jack seems to be better suited to a pairing up front.

Of course if he comes good for Hartlepool and gets 20+ goals and kicks on, it would be our loss. Best f luck to him.

As to the Griffiths situation, I am torn with it. He obviously is talented but has issues whether that's just the hunger he no longer has, or his mental health issues, if he could get past that get the hunger back I do think he could be an asset, but it is a risk. Griffiths hasn't been at it for a couple of years.

If Davie doesn't get another striker in within a 2-3 week period he may very well go for Griffiths, and if he does, I hope it gives Griffiths a new lease of life.

110% agree with all what JD has posted.......,other clubs have checks in place to prevent trouble starting in the home stands due to infiltration from in particular sevco fans.

But surprise surprise not us,I've saw it time after time in the West Stand involving the rangers, confrontation after confrontation.

It's gonna get ugly one time and the club only have themselves to blame.

Yeah we rely on big away crowds but it shouldn't come at the safety of your own support  !!!!

The club has confirmed that a policy agreed with the Police and Stewards will be that any 'away' fans identified in the West Stand will be removed. Additional Police and Stewards are being provided. In addition the club is looking at ways to prevent this happening in the future

Just seen this on the clubs liaison officers Twitter feed.

Doesn't sound like we'll be signing Griffiths after all....the knicker wetting from some corners of the support can stop now

Same website with this, too. Shiter.

I think we're well covered if Parkes misses most of the season. We have Fitzwater, Ayo, Cancar, Boyes (currently injured though) and Bitsindou who can play at CB

Gutting news about Parkes. He is someone I was really looking forward to seeing back. I know we have cover there, but I'm not sure it's adequate. Cancar looks really promising and I'd have him pairing up with Fitzwater if it's a flat 4. I've only saw Bitsindou against Linlithgow Rose so I wouldn't take much from that. Obileye is far too erratic for me.

Yeah Obileye has hadthe experience of playing for us in the Premiership, so is capable of doing a job for us, but does give the ball away a lot and is prone to grabbing players shirts at set pieces which can always be heart in mouth whether the ref will award a penalty or not.  I'd rather we had more dependable CB pairings, with Fitzwater being one. Cancar or Boyes will hopefully be more reliable.

Unless there is an independent witness nothing is going to happen. Really stupid of a ref getting sucked into giving a fan abuse if this is true.
