It is, but 10th is a more realistic prospect as it stands. Just need a few teams to go on stinking runs and for this to be the start of our regular December madness if we want top 6.

Martindale talking about Jack going back to Arbroath today, and possibly Panayiotou going out on loan too. We're obviously looking at a winger, be it Lawless, Apter, Walker or some other random player. It's feasible to think we may be after another striker and surely a CB is a priority as is a backup GK. Martindale says it'll be 2 or 3 in but I make that 4 if we're including a winger he thinks we need. 

For me CB and sub GK are the big big areas for us. If we don't sign a CB this window then it could be a shocker. I can see Martindale possibly converting Forrest into a striker which may explain the need for a winger. He's resorted to playing him up front for his pace in a few games and it's worked out well

I wouldn't say CB was as much a priority as a creative winger or striker. We have Fitzwater, Parkes, Ayo, Longridge and McMillan who can all play a role at CB

Once we're a bit clear of the chasing pack aye, but when we're only 3 pts above Dundee who are in 10th place, and would've cut that to 2 pts with a draw, or caught up level with us on pts beating Hibs. At this stage i'm wanting us to open a bigger gap on the bottom 3 teams, and closing on the ones above us will take care of itself.

Aye a CB isn't as desperate as it was when Parkes was out injured, and Ayo isn't going to move into a holding mid position either. Getting a back up keeper and adding goals with attacking players looks like our main priority now.

At the end of the day; if we were to go down; it would be because we hadn't won enough games. We can't blame Dundee of whoever for failing to lose theirs.

Helps that we're still 3pts clear of Dundee though, if they'd won last night they'd be just behind us on GD. Feck wanting them to win and get 3pts.

 

Might be another season of pass the relegation parcel, whoever is bottom 2 when the music stops playing is down, Scottish Govt is getting awful twitchy about this omicron variant.

I wouldn't say McMillan/Longridge are suitable for CB. They are for when we're down to barebones but as it stands we have Fitzwater, Ayo and Parkes who looks very shaky. We have two competent CBs at the club as it stands. We desperately need one in or else we'll regret it come the end of the season I imagine.

Lawless ain’t on trial with us atlis, he was offered training facilities from Davie after he left Motherwell. Would be great if we did sign him due to him knowing the club and has been said, we need another winger/ creative player, but don’t know if it’s going to happen. Seemingly a few clubs interested in signing him.

He's definitely on trial. I'm not sure there's much of a difference between using the facilities/being on trial but the fact he played in a bounce game 100% points towards the fact he's trying to earn a deal with us. 

I'm not entirely sure any club bigger than us would be interested in him after such a long period without consistent football. If we want to sign him I imagine we will, just depends on if he's up to much.

Not looking likely Mullin is returning then, shame, he started off his 2nd stint here really well, but latterly looked well off the pace and we can't afford passengers.

Yeah, if things keep going the way they are then you'd struggle to see the season going past January.

Both have played there in the past and done a decent job. Parkes looked shaky in one or two games but was pretty solid apart from that. His lack of pace caused him issues but he dealt with plenty in an old fashioned way

Yep,Davie has said as much.The virus situation could conceivably curtail this season if carries on at the rate.Outside the bottom two should this happen will do for me,nevermind top six.Though would be nice..

Comfortable win for Sevco, but Celtic made a meal of it, waiting till the 97th min to get the winner. Sore one for County that, was the ref just waiting till Celtic scored before blowing his whistle for FT?

One of them being Nouble.

Kabia, Hamilton and Harry will all leave the club with at least 2 of them out permanently by the summer.

We need a CB and a GK.
Can't see where Lawless fits in tbh.

Would have been interesting to see Panayiotou and Nouble link up with them being ex team mates. I agree with Kabia in that he has that spark of magic but perhaps Forrest, Bailey, Sibbald, Shinnie and potentially Lawless will be keeping him out the side. He's had a bad time with injuries too so makes sense to get the lad used to regular football again. Come next year he could be important for us

Martindale just doesn't rate Kabia despite every performance he's had for us saying otherwise. Absolutely the player we need. Shows great skill and decent creativity and gets shunned out of the squad because Martindale doesn't like him.

Panayiotou was and still is the weirdest signing for us over the last few seasons. Total panic signing and again should have got a CB on the wage bill over him every day. However he has shown good hold up play when given his chance but from Martindales recent press stuff, looks like he's away on a permanent deal.

Hamilton being offered a new deal is one I'm pleased with but he needs a run in the team for him to find his place and his form. Hasn't started a single game this season which isn't really going to help his confidence in any way.
