Arbroath v Kilmarnock: ‘Nouble… got a bit of flavour’ - meet the striker making big impact - BBC Sport

Also just noticed Halkett is out of contract in the summer and has publicly admitted Hearts have yet to open talks over a new deal with him. Can you imagine we somehow got him back, would be utterly mental :D

Shhhh dinnae let Motherwell know ffs.

Long ball is absolutely fine and actually I would recommend it given that we are hopeless at passing it around the back.

What isn't fine is chucking on Anderson with 25 minutes to go to proceed with that tactic. Panayiotou and Hamilton must be wondering what they need to do to get a start...

Yep Anderson isn't a target man and wins fuckall with that sort of service. Pointless playing that kind of football to him.

Shame we played almost a replica ball into Shinnie that he scored against Celtic, but his first touch evaded him and it was gone. Maybe too many games in a row starting him up front (3 in a week), looked a pale shade of himself in the Celtic game, with hardly anything sticking to him.

Yeah we'll be fine when January comes and Nouble comes back to save us.......................right?🤪

Might help if we had a striker, 1 on the bench and another 2 dropped out the squad, when we go with a midfielder up front. Worked against Celtic but that was prob because it was unexpected, maybe needs to go back to playing either Anderson or Hamilton, or even giving Panayiotou a go. Whoever goes up front though, we needs to play it through the midfield and attack in numbers, punting it up to whoever is playing up front isn't giving them much chance. Our best moves today came from balls across their box, 3 or 4 times we came close to getting on the end of those in front of goal.

Is Jack Hamilton fit availble for loan would take him back at Queens seems to have developed more since we had him last time

If he's going anywhere it'll be Arbroath to replace Nouble. Seems to be struggling to step up to this level

Not sure what everyone's worried about. Martindale has GUARANTEED that we won't be relegated.

Just stick your feet up and enjoy the show.

Ha ha he certainly did. Think that was a tad daft especially after Saturday’s performance  :D

Playing wise there is a huge difference in our home and away form, 2 games we lost at home we scored first, and really shouldn't have lost to Aberdeen, prob not to Motherwell either, but they're a far better looking team this season and look to have swapped places with the sheep on where they'll finish, or at least will be up there challenging for top 4. Our away form though is far too passive, no attacking threat with too many defensive players on the pitch, all very well setting up like that against Celtic at home, as we'll have very little possession, but against other teams, even good ones that'll be up around 3rd & 4th place, we have to be looking to attack more and have the likes of Forrest on from the start, and a proper striker too. We've 3 to choose from, pick one and give them a chance of scoring, by getting support up to them and supplying them with balls from the wings. We signed plenty of wide players, FB's that like to get up the wings, less of the long balls through the middle and start using width.

Big 4 games coming up, really can't afford to lose to St Mirren and County, esp County, but we'll have to change how we play away from home.

Hi guy's is it possible to purchase an away end ticket on match days. Myself and a few others live a good distance from Paisley.  You have to pick up an away ticket from Saints stadium.

No you don't, you can buy them from Livingston's website in exactly the same way as Saints fans did for the LC tie a few weeks ago.

ETA, here's the link. You'll need to register if you haven't already done so.

Right, Where to start, first of all, the situation at this moment in time doesn't look very promising
I honestly don't see a way out this season, the squad is so unbalanced it's hard to pick an attacking team, there are 5 and 6 of the same type of players, Martindale has not recruited well, his lack of attacking  midfielders has finally caught up with him, the build up play is so slow, the wingers can't  get into the game, the reluctance of the midfield getting up the park is worrying.
The defence is not perfect, but that's the least of the worries, movement in the midfield needs to be much quicker, but they don't have the right players to play these positions.

Quite simply they will have to change the tactics whether they have the right players or not. They need 5 players getting forward EVERYtime they attack.
There needs to be more hunger, and desire when not on the ball, in the Hearts game they looked well of the pace, tired, the fitness levels were no where near 100%
After watching all the teams in the League, Livi look the worst , Ross County look more lively ,St.Mirren just look better all over, and Dundee are more dangerous upfront

4-1-4-1 would be my tactics with the 3 midfielders,1 winger and striker up the park, with 1 defensive midfielder, and four at the back.
Keep with this 8 man defence/midfield will end up being relegated, better to go down fighting with more attacking .

To be honest, from what I've seen, Lewis is no big loss. He doesn't seem better than what we have, I reckon Serrano is better tbh if we're comparing loans. Shame we're losing a player to have available but not a massive loss in the way Shinnie/Obileye/Devlin would be

Pittman, Kabia, Parkes & Sibbald all out for 2/3 weeks. Lewis 3 months.

Suddenly have become very light in midfield.

Didn't think Pitts was far away from being back, pisser if it'll be another few weeks. Dunno what's happened to Keaghan recently either, got on as a sub a few weeks back and hasn't been in the match day squad for several games now.

Omeonga did ok in his first game but has a tendency to give the ball away around our box, and was shaky against Hearts.
