Yea, I think the offensive options will be stronger next season so I think we could beat our ‘goals for’; on the contrary, I think it will be almost impossible for us to better the defensive unit of this season (incl. Kelly) so I expect us to concede more. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out as I think our low scoring meant teams would try and hit us hard and early, at least in second half of season; and there possibly wasn’t the biggest risk given the relatively few goals we scored. If that was the case, who would folk fancy to take over?The most realistic option for me is Jim Goodwin. The only thing of note he did was blow a one on one, not even hitting the target. Given how poor our defence has been this season it speaks volumes that he never looked like scoring. You don't score that many goals being shite, but I think it would be too big a jump for him at this time.
