Fucking hell. 2 men started on the apron, yet all 4 men were legal. Matches need to make sense. From start to finish this match was dumb, albeit slightly fun. I love that in these matches as well Pentagon isn't even subtle about just standing there, watching his partner get destroyed.

Young Bucks will have loved that shit. Tag team wrestling dying a horrible death with this lot. Why can't they just do it properly? Haven't seen it so can't comment on the specifics of the match, but under lucha libre rules you don't have to tag to enter and be the legal participant. That's usually why they'll have multiple refs (one inside, one outside) to keep track of who is legal.

It's weird that they didn't make a point of highlighting this to new lucha viewers, and they must have known there'd be a lot given that they were pushing the show like f**k on social media.

Yeah especially given there were other normal tag matches on the card. Checked the rule out. Someone can apparently enter once the legal wrestler hits the outside, which is still not what happened in that Lucha Bros match. Not my style, I'll just leave it at that and probably not bother with any more of those tag matches. Now I've got to catch up on a few matches from the past couple of NJPW shows.

Wasn't the rumour a month or so ago that these shows wouldn't even happen? Poor ticket sales (MSG downgraded to the Theater), no announced card for a while and no mention during TripleMania. Not surprised they never tried to do any sort of introduction for new to lucha fans.

Going by that article most of the promotion they did was for streaming on FITE. So they might make a respectable number combining everything. Clash of Champions is meant to have done 12,800 on traditional TV PPV buys.
cb_diamond
Wasn't aware of the Kishin Liger stuff before today. Pretty cool Edited September 22, 2019 by cb_diamond
Ira Gaines
If you've not seen Liger vs. Muta, I'd suggest trying to find it. Think it was the first appearance of Kishin Liger. The match is also a hell of a spectacle.

Ira Gaines
Probably worth seeking out a load of famous Muta matches while you're at it. Can't get enough of Muta when he was at his most mental.
cb_diamond
Just watched it, great stuff, understand why muta went over but it did take some of the aura away. Also watched the last appearance in the tag match vs TAKA. Been reading the history on it and it's brilliant.

FairWeatherFan
All WWE talent has been pulled from Southside's 9th anniversary (& final) show. I know the owners have done a deal with RevPro, but it seems a little petty to me.

FairWeatherFan
On a similar note, Walter has been pulled from the Sunday night of wXw's World Tag Team Festival on 6th October due to a scheduling conflict.

Ira Gaines
Well, he did say he wanted to go away for a few years from WWE and he did that. Not surprised at WWE bringing him back as they parted on good terms and he wasn't THAT far away from the main event scene when he left.
