JamieStevenson
What Sammy Guevara said about Sasha Banks.... fucking hell. He's rightfully cancelled now too.

Why does anyone think that's an acceptable thing to say? Is it an attempt to be edgy? Humorous? It's neither and to toss it out so casually is troubling. There's folk on this site who feel it's acceptable to use that term when talking about, for example, a team beating another or a player skinning another. That's obviously not on the level of what Guevara said, but still not acceptable and suggests an underlying issue with respect for people or at the very least a lack of thought on the impact of language.
cb_diamond
Not massively impressed with ICWs statement they've just put out. Talent welfare officers are fine, but dont have the workers doing it, that's just askingbfor trouble. Also no mention of what's happening to those who have clearly been at it, who are still regularly/semi regularly used by ICW.

Actually saw a few on Twitter trying to defend him, saying it's a compliment to Sasha Banks..... WHAT?!?!?!

Aye having the actual workers as the Talent Welfare Officers is not a good move. Needs to be people from the outside who are totally independent of the company and the scene. Think they'll wait until they've looked in to the folk who've been at it, and if the police are involved might be holding off saying things. Surely though there will be a lot of folk getting punted and loads more never being used again? There has to be as the guilty can't get away with it. Pluso the company will be dead as no one, especially female wrestlers, could trust them again. Think they'll need to do a lot to convince people that they (ICW) are worthwhile now anyway. At this point sympathy for the company is zero. Might need to be that the (seemingly few) good guys need to break away and start something new. 15 minutes ago, JamieStevenson said: Actually saw a few on Twitter trying to defend him, saying it's a compliment to Sasha Banks..... WHAT?!?!?! That's dreadful and shows such a massive, fundamental misunderstanding of the specific issue and the overall issue. airdrieman
Lewis Girvan has already been punted by several companies which probably says a lot. The whole scene just needs razed to the ground really. Even trainers and ring crew and the likes are involved. I mean who could you trust, that's already doing so, to run a promotion or training school? Most are heavily implicated even by just being knowing or complicit in what was happening.
GiGi
For those out of the loop can someone TLDR what's going on this week?
Stellaboz
British wrestling full of sexual Beasts all the way up to management and includes ring crew and many well known guys.
TheGoon
The Sammy Guevara rape “joke” is a horrible look. I don’t think he should lose his job or anything over it, but they need to send him to “education training” or something.
Ludo*1
Jim Cornette smashing the allegations made against him pretty convincingly tbh. Only thing he didn't address was Kenny Bolin's allegation that Big Show shagged his wife, but then Bolin has always had a weird relationship with Cornette. ETA: Does confirm he was/is a swinger though. Edited June 22, 2020 by Ludo*1
GiGi
Jesus, just done a bit of reading and it's thoroughly depressing. Cornette and his wife seem a particular brand of scum if any of the stories are true.
FairWeatherFan
I don't know if its a good or a bad thing that there hasn't been many (if any?) stories that have came out around the holiday camp circuit. Especially when you have had some accusations against Brian Dixon that ran some of those bookings. I don't know if that's because the dynamic of wrestler & camp guest that isn't necessarily a wrestling fan, wouldn't have been caught up in this kind of disclosure from within the industry this past week.

Musketeer Gripweed
I watched my first Dark Side of the Ring show tonight, about Randy Savage. Was disappointed to be honest. I knew the full story that was told already. What are the best ones to watch next?

Musketeer Gripweed
Apart from the one I just watched then? To be fair, the Jake Roberts interview about the snakebite was good. That was one of my first memories of the WWF, and I think that incident got me hooked.
