djchapsticks
Rusev, EC3, Gallows and Anderson and Lio Rush are all going on to better things in the long run.
djchapsticks
Unfortunately, this is exactly what happens when you build a bloated, unnecessary roster and give folk massive contracts to simply to prevent them going elsewhere. Lads like Gallows and Anderson will be cashing in big time. They both signed 5 year deals last year (as did Mike Bennett and Maria Kanelis), and they will have very nice golden handshakes out of this. I hope every one of the folk released coin it in in the long run. There is going to be a massive appetite for spectator events when this does end and these wrestlers will hopefully reap the benefits. WWE on the other hand, have a guaranteed contract with Fox worth billions of dollars that isn't going anywhere, they could have easily aided a lot of staff through this horrendous time.
DA Baracus
Vince McMahon truly is a dreadful piece of shit. He's done so much horrible stuff over the years and sounds like a horrendous human.

DA Baracus
Yeah that's reading way too much in to it, and actually a fairly stupid outcome to take away from it. Like others she's just stating that she's upset some of her friends have been punted and is 'heartbroken' (clue is in the emoji) that so many folk are losing their jobs.
Scotty Tunbridge
Some rumours doing the rounds that even Andrade could be gone .Based on this from Charlotte. That will be about Finlay given one of her following tweets or just the releases as a whole.
DA Baracus
You just know that if the WWE wrestlers did try to unionise then Seth Rollins would sprint to Vince McMahon to grass everyone in.

They actually announced that they have $0.5 billion stashed away in cash and loan capacity to face the challenges. Booting everyone will save them $4m a month. It's a fucking scumbag move.

They've already stated that even with corona and not doing live shows they will be turning a profit this year, add into that the above stated reserves (almost 100 million of which is pure cash) then you can see why they are scumbags. The fact that those 20+ peoples livelihoods aren't even equivalent to Goldberg's take home for 4 appearances in the last year (and less than a third Tyson fury got for 1!) makes it even worse! WWE total staff pay to turnover is about 4%. That's crazily low Edited April 16, 2020 by cb_diamond
DukDukGoose
We'll see how it turns out lads. They answer to shareholders. Vince is also looking at losing everything he has just sunk in to the XFL.

It looks like Vince was pulling off dodgy deals with the law in 1983 as well as 2020. You could tell in the documentary that even Snuka's widow knows he's guilty. Dark Side of the Ring has been a great series. Looking forward to the future documentary about the mental WWE behaviour of Spring 2020 and also the death of the XFL 2.0 Just watched this. He clearly did it and the police were clearly paid off (probably by Vince McMahon). The bit where Tonga Kid rubbished the story about Nancy slipping on the way to Allentown, without realising he was doing it, was so telling. Detested that former Chief of Police guy who was still clearly trying to still cover it up. He tripped himself up numerous times and his bullshit bluster was so obvious and transparent. What a c**t. Agree that Snuka's widow knows he's guilty too.

In fact he specifically sold WWE shares to get the money for the XFL.
TheGoon
WWE did not NEED to lay these people off, far from it. They needed a clearing out at some point, but they are under no financial strain at the minute.
