When was flicking through the tv channels last night I caught 5 minutes of "One Born Every Minute"

Good grief, 5 minutes was too long, that's enough to put you off for life, that is!

I thought it was to do with calcium...I could be wrong.

It may be to do with Dentin formation. I found this on Wiki:

Secondary dentin is formed after root formation is complete, normally after the tooth has erupted and is functional.

There are 3 layers of dentin (the tissue that lies between the tooth pulp and enamel. I suppose if the milk teeth remain un-erupted the secondary dentin has more time to form, thus making teeth stronger when they do appear?

I'm addicted to that show. I'm waiting until I get an hour on my own in the house so I can watch the extras online as well.

Congrats!

I've had three incredibly smelly nappies to deal with today. Poor wee mannie, he is under the weather.

Was going to post this in bargain basement, but here might be more helpful...

Was in H&M today and they have wee mini pretend football strips for the princely sum of £2.99. Teams were Italy, Brazil and Spain. The boy picked Spain. Thought some of our footie obsessed parents might be interested!

Congrats Rowan but shouldn't you be using the big toilet at your age?

Crikey, where did that go?! Is he not just a couple of months old? Are you sure???

I've spent the weekend meeting 11 pregnant couples. 3 more coming up this Tuesday and another 8 on Thursday. Part of me's glad it isn't me these days, much as I loved it when it was my turn. :)

If we'd had Steven before Thomas we wouldn't have two!

I knew Thomas was an angel but I've come to appreciate just how much of an angel he is even more since his brother appeared. Jesus he's hard work.

Never ever thought I'd value sleep quite as much as I do these days. <_<

Funny, both my and my husbands (we're both oldest) parents say that about their second children too!

Spent day at short stay ward as wee one was vomitting and not weeing. Turns out he has tonsalities. He's been rehydrated and is home with a bottle of penacillin :(

We've all been feeling a bit rough for over a week now, and poor little Oliver has tonsilitis. He has been on antibiotics for the past couple of days and it is making a difference. He has quite a chesty cough as well. Poor little bugger. However, more importantly, I feel like shit.

Right, that's the 4th case of tonsilitis I've heard about this week. I'm buying a Swine Flu mask.

I hope all your little lads are better soon. :)

Im dreading that as well. Its bad enough working till all hours at the mo but at least the wee man has a great routine. Bed at 8 and up at 7:30. Starts the school after the summer as well :o

Better make that 5.. The wee man has had it for a week as well. Almost finished the antibiotics and getting better. That said he is very prone to tonsilitis.

Missus has 14 weeks to go till no.2 arrives :o where does the time go?

I've had it twice in my life - 3 weeks apart, which pleased my boss at the time greatly! - and it's the most ill I have ever been. I really don't envy you with kids that have it.

Charlie isn't 100% at the moment, so I'm hoping that he doesn't have tonsilitis as well! He spent the best part of last night coughing and was up before 5am this morning. I got him a bottle and put him back down. That seemed to settle him for a bit but then he started coughing again and making noise, so I decided to get him up.

Hopefully he goes for a long sleep this afternoon so I can go back to bed for an hour.

Kirsty's been coughing quite a bit through the night, although it never seems to fully waken her up, and she never coughs through the day, is this normal?

Unsure. Charlie was coughing quite a lot last night as well, but with yours, it never woke him either. Have you got Tixylix? (not sure if that's the spelling)

I gave the boy 10ml of this a couple of hours ago and seems to have done the trick. Even now he seems much happier and active than he did this morning. I was having a lie down on the sofa a couple of minutes ago and he came up and stuck his finger in my eye and laughed. Wee bugger!

Wee one is asleep, he's got a little more colour to him. My work have given me the next couple days off to look after him.

He's not vomited today which is a step forward.
