"Go and put this in the kitchen, il see how fast you can go" still works for meThe eldest is actually really good at helping around the house. I used to use the 'i'll time you' technique as well. We've started to give her weekly pocket money for her piggy bank as she does quite a bit to help and it was feeling like slave labour [emoji38] Since giving her pocket money she's turned into a helpful monster. MP_MFC Posted March 1, 2021 Share Posted March 1, 2021 The mrs went into the hospital at 9pm last night to get induced and I’m still waiting on the phone call to come into the hospital.Try and sit tight bud, my Mrs was taken in planned at 11am on the Sunday for the sweeps and implant thing and her waters finally went at 11pm on the Monday night, eventually took her to the labour suite at about 4.30am and she was then on the drip until about 1 and the wean was born just after 2 on the Tuesday afternoon.Different circumstances given I was sat with her for the first 2 days and only going home at night and no idea if this is your first but take it as easy as you can and try and get some sleep, just keep your phone on loud or set alarms periodically. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am able to go in for 1 2 hour visit a day until she goes up to the labour suite, which I am allowed to be in for the duration.
