  1. Just seen on netflix that its out on november 17th, quite a surprising release given the last rumours were talk of early 2018, the trailer looks fucking outstanding this certainly doesnt look like it will be slow as f**k like luke cage and iron fist were, another binge watch coming up for me lol
  2. Is anyone else watching the latest Netflix comic book adaptation The Umbrella Academy? Starring Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, Mary J Blige among others, I hadn't heard anything about this prior to seeing it appear over the weekend. 3 episodes in and so far this stands out as one of the best comic book based TV series to date. Its quite dark, not one of the main characters are happy as a result of their powers, but there are some comic touches throughout to lighten the mood slightly. The building the characters, and the back stories has been good, without being condescending or overly obvious and leaves you wondering whats going on enough to want to watch more - would recomend anyone to give it a go.
  3. Arch Stanton

    Russian Doll

Have just binge watched this, hard going the first three episodes but then it becomes interesting. However, can't decide if its genius or shite...will have to watch it again to catch all the subtleties I missed the first time.
  4. A new Netflix drama about Robert the Bruce is in production http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-42307677 Stannis Baratheon as Edward I and Capt James T Kirk as Bruce - sounds good!
  5. Torpar

    Flint Town

Just finished this Netflix documentary and ended up feeling a little disappointed there were only 8 episodes. I thought it was really well made and an interesting watch. It focus on the underfunded, understaffed and over worked police department in Flint, Michigan. With the Flint water crisis story and police being killed in Dallas, Baton Rogue and other places, going on in the background.
  6. I've been watching American Vandal on Netflix. It's a spoof of Making a Murderer and the Serial podcasts. A student gets expelled from school for spray painting dicks on every teacher in schools car. It's very, very funny. It's certainly the first programme i've seen where they have a computer generated reconstruction of someone getting a handjob by a lake Anyone else been watching?
  7. Co.Down Hibee

    The Keepers

Good documentary on Netflix in the same vein as Making a Murderer, looks at the unsolved case of Sister Cathy , a nun murdered in 60s Baltimore ,2 former pupils at the school she taught in have investigated the case 40 years on and have unearthed a shocking story of child abuse, cover up and police ineptitude . Some characters will make you laugh , some are beyond despicable but it is a great watch with some jaw dropping moments.
  8. Gordon EF

    Falling Skies

Anyone watched this? I'd never heard of it but gave it a go (first 4 seasons are on Netflix) and got absolutely hooked. I devoured the first 4 then signed up for Amazon Prime to watch the 5th. Doesn't seem to be popular over here but it's made by Steven Spielberg and the guy he worked with on Saving Private Ryan. It's set after an alien invasion of Earth that kills 90% of the population and centres on a group of people who form a resistance movement against the occupation. It can be a little cheesy at times but it's difficult to put down. One of these ones where you'll finish an episode at half one in the morning and think 'f**k it, I've got time for one more;.
