  1. Apologies if not allowed on here. I’m looking to get into coach at the Junior Level ahead of the new season. I have a lot of experience at a decent Youth Level, and have a SFA C License. Based in the Glasgow Area. If any clubs are looking, please don’t hesitate to contact me through the forum for more information. Cheers!
  2. Is there any news on the next Junior International Quadrangular tournament? I believe the Isle of Man are due to host it. Originally held annually then bi-annually then every three years, the gap between the two most recent tournaments grew to the largest yet at four years. I was wondering if any news has come out about the forthcoming tournament.

  4. Does anyone know of any junior parks in the Glasgow or possibly Paisley area that would be available to hire for an end of season league match for the amateur team I manage? The council parks close at the end of May and we need a pitch on Tuesday evening, 9th June. Grass preferable but astro if need be. Thanks.
  5. Whilst planning my trip back to Scotland this weekend, and planning which game I'd go to, I looked at the average attendances and wept. How can a league be competitive if busloads of punters leave towns- towns that have their own football clubs - to go and watch the Old Firm (are they still called that?) I reckon each club needs to be given a catchment of local schools into which it can plug its youth teams, give fortnightly coaching classes (to those who are interested, for free), give these kids a game every weekend (even if it means setting up ten teams per age group) and give kids a sense of belonging and identity. That would be proper grass roots investment, instead of the bibs and cones certificated school holiday courses that are currently run for the middle classes. As someone whose loyalty has been movable throughout the years, I'd have loved something like this. I've written more on my website on this topic at http://www.eurofootballstadium.com/football-in-the-community-507 Have a swatch if you're interested. Thanks

  7. I fancy reviewing a Scottish football match and stadium to post on my blog. Any suggestions? A decent crunch match would be ideal, with plenty of fan noise. Quality of football is not the number one priority;) Only have German and Dutch games so far. Cheers www.eurofootballstadium.com
  8. In my search for a game to go to this weekend to review, I mentioned to my wife I might go to a league one, league two or juniors match. She said 'why don't you go to a good ground since you're only back for the weekend?' I said to her 'what makes a ground 'good''? What do the dedicated away fans of the country think?
