History repeats itself in funny ways, and, in a curiously distorted echo of the 1950s, Jack Ross's dominant league-topping (as at time of writing) Hibernian are voyaging across the Tay to demonstrate to the people of sun-soaked Dundee how football is played in the fair city of Edinburgh. The famous five of Boyle, Doidge, Allen, Gogic and Nisbet are sure to wow the hosts with their brand of swashbuckling, free-flowing, free-scoring 'fitba' (as it's called in the local tongue) and pass on a trick or two to the eager, football-hungry natives. I hear they have a promising, up-and-coming young striker by the name of Lawrison di Shanklimento who will no doubt pick up a few pointers from the display and possibly even be inspired to become a big star in years to come. Expect Hibs goals aplenty from every direction, but for nobody to mind the result. It's the spectacle that matters.
