  1. History repeats itself in funny ways, and, in a curiously distorted echo of the 1950s, Jack Ross's dominant league-topping (as at time of writing) Hibernian are voyaging across the Tay to demonstrate to the people of sun-soaked Dundee how football is played in the fair city of Edinburgh. The famous five of Boyle, Doidge, Allen, Gogic and Nisbet are sure to wow the hosts with their brand of swashbuckling, free-flowing, free-scoring 'fitba' (as it's called in the local tongue) and pass on a trick or two to the eager, football-hungry natives. I hear they have a promising, up-and-coming young striker by the name of Lawrison di Shanklimento who will no doubt pick up a few pointers from the display and possibly even be inspired to become a big star in years to come. Expect Hibs goals aplenty from every direction, but for nobody to mind the result. It's the spectacle that matters.
  2. Hi there, Regarding the Falkirk v Dundee Utd match on Saturday, 22 September, Laurieston Bowling Club will be offering its clubhouse - free of charge - as a pre-match venue to visiting supporters. Situated under a mile from the stadium, our newly refurbished function suite and lounge hosts a pool table, a dart board, free wifi and two plasma screens showing all major sporting events. Furthermore, we offer wines, beers and spirits at affordable prices. If you would like to take us up on this offer, then please get in touch with an idea of times/numbers and we would be more than happy to provide complimentary snacks. For more information, check out our website at www.lauriestonbowlingclub.com. Best wishes, Peter Alexander Mobile: 07966 305 324 Email: [email protected]
  3. Seeing as it's been requested here's the Dundee Derby Banter thread that is so badly needed. Let's trash talk each other in here, instead of cluttering up our respective threads with our (sometimes) awful patter.
