  2. South Challenge Cup 2016-17

To be drawn tomorrow according to EOS League social media, along with the East of Scotland Qualifying League. According to announcement "it will be an all-in draw" which has probably delighted NewcastleBroon and simultaneously terrified several dozen club treasurers . For the benefit of 'Shire fans this premier competition in senior non-league football embraces all LL/EOSL/SOSL clubs, plus Glasgow University. Whitehill Welfare are the defending champions. Tweedmouth Rangers and Lochmaben presumably making their debuts alongside 'Shire.
  3. South Challenge Cup 2015-16

I see the draw for the premier competition in Senior non-league football has been made. http://eosfl.com/col.asp?cid=56 http://slfl.co.uk/fixtures/fixtures-october/ http://slfl.co.uk/fixtures/fixtures-november/ (NewcastleBroon may wish to skip this paragraph in fear of spontaneously exploding). In contrast with a handful of debutants last season there is only one this season, Cumbernauld Colts, and strangely they have been put into the North/East part of the draw. So there are 10 Lowland and 24 clubs overall in that 'half', and 5 Lowland and 20 overall in the South/West half. No entry from Easthouses Lily of course who have gone Junior. As draws go it isn't a very interesting one but a few points of interest. Wigtown v Threave pits the SOSL champion against the LL wooden spoonists. If LTHV beat Hawick the EOSL & LL champions meet. There could also be a LL universities derby, and Edusport v Dalbeattie has some intrigue. 4. South Challenge Cup - 2014-15

Biggest tournament in Senior non-league football gets going next Saturday with many interesting ties, as clubs start on the road to the season finale showpiece on May 23rd. Always appealled to me, usually a good 'barometer' of the strength of various leagues/divisions. Peebles return from their year's ban, and it's BSCG's first-ever cup-tie, v SOS leaders Lochar.
