  1. Lets get this going, not that there are too many interested in the goings on in the NIFL. Linfield have it all to do in the Champions League qualifiers, having lost 3-1 in the first leg of their tie with Zalgiris. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57732734 Not sure if I'd have the Blues as stick on champions this time around, I fancy Glentoran to be there or thereabouts, and if Coleraine could actually string one good season together instead of two half seasons it might at long last be their year. However, the north Belfast duo of Crusaders and Cliftonville can't be ruled out, although I can't see the Reds winning it, but they might stop someone else winning it. Larne will be hoping to put in a more sustained challenge than last year - not that they were disgraced by any means last season - and could there be a surprise package - Ballymena, Glenavon? Looking forward to the big kick off, here are the opening fixtures - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57747899
  2. The IPL kicks off tonight, Motherwell fans favourite Irish League side v Ballymena at the Ballycastle Road Showgrounds. Won't be easy for the Bannsiders, but they must be favoured to edge it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54542802 Hard to see past the usual suspects for the title - Linfield, Coleraine and Crusaders, although I must be honest I haven't been paying a lot of attention to team news and transfer activity of late, so there could be a surprise package. Glentoran will be hoping to mount a challenge. Larne will want to push on from last year's satisfactory debut. Portadown are back in the big time, and will be hoping to emulate Larne's efforts last season, so there will be a bit of bite in Mid Ulster this season with Glenavon and Dungannon keen to show they are the top dogs. BBC preview - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54317204
  3. Linfield lose out in Europe. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53820128 They're getting Celtic to check Legia's team lines...
