Newton 0 - 4 Stranraer Went to Blairmount tonight eager to see the team Newton were putting out - as I have heard they have signed a number of decent players. Put it this way, without that goalkeeper of theirs they will be rock bottom of the league. In fact they may as well just pull out now. I think there was black and white cones on the pitch in the second half.

There was a short-lived Premiership thread about this not long ago, but as a follow-up, in a time of cash-grabbing journeymen, I've assigned myself the mission of celebrating the longest-serving first-team players at each club in the SPFL. I'm basing this on the length of each player's current spell at their club- cumulative spells count for nothing. They're allowed to have been loaned out. Under those rules, by my reckoning (guesswork) here is each club's longest-serving player (year of debut in brackets) (italics for players who are in their testimonial year or better): Aberdeen - Andrew Considine (2004) Celtic - Scott Brown (2007) Dundee - Kyle Benedictus (2008) Dundee Utd - Keith Watson (2006) Hamilton - Martin Canning (2008) ICT - Ryan Esson (2008) Kilmarnock - Manuel Pascali (2008) Motherwell - Keith Lasley (2006) Partick Thistle - Kris Doolan (2009) Ross County - Scott Boyd (2008) St. Johnstone - Steven Anderson (2004) St. Mirren - Marc McAusland (2010) Alloa - Kevin Cawley (signed in the same month as about half the current squad) (2011) Cowdenbeath - Kenny Adamson (2007) Dumbarton - Mark Gilhaney/Stephen Grindlay (2010) Falkirk - Keiran Duffie (2010) Hearts - Scott Robinson (2008) Hibs - Lewis Stevenson (2005) Livingston - Keaghan Jacobs (2007) QOTS - Stephen McKenna (2009) Raith Rovers - David McGurn/Laurie Ellis (2008) Rangers - Lee McCulloch (2007) Airdrie - Jamie Bain (2008) Ayr Utd - Martyn Campbell (2005) Brechin - Gerry McLauchlan/Craig Molloy (2010) Dunfermline - Ryan Thomson (2008) Forfar - Martyn Fotheringham (2007) Morton - Thomas O'Ware (2011) Peterhead - Callum MacDonald (2007) Stenny - Ross McMillan (2011) Stirling - Graham Weir (2012) Stranraer - David Mitchell (2009) Albion Rovers - Ciaran Donnelly (2005) Annan - Peter Watson (2008) Arbroath - Bobby Linn (2013) Berwick - Steven Notman (2009) Clyde - Iain Gray (2010) East Fife - Steven Campbell (2009) East Stirlingshire - Jamie Glasgow (2011) Elgin - Mark Nicolson (2007) Montrose - Alan Campbell (2009) Queen's Park - Tony Quinn (2001) I look forward to all 41 corrections I'm about to receive.
