  1. Good morning, Predictors! Last Saturday’s results were :- Cumnock Juniors 2 v 4 Auchinleck Talbot Beith Juniors P v P Kilwinning Rangers Kilbirnie Ladeside 4 v 0 Rutherglen Glencairn Maybole Juniors 2 v 0 Forth Wanderers Ardrossan Winton Rovers 4 v 0 Lanark United Harmony Row P v P Threave Rovers Not much happening this week as we lost two matches to the weather and pretty much everyone got the results correct but not the scores. In fact, there was only one correct score this week which helped give @93glens17 the top spot this week with 16 points. Apart from that it was all a bit meh really. Check your scores please. Here are the current standings:- Wk 25 CS Total 1 Broomhill Ultra 9 17 368 2 dagane 13 13 352 3 Shannon 12 11 334 4 funky monkey 10 11 321 5 Spyro 9 6 303 6 beith19 4 11 299 7 Darvel legend 12 7 297 8 happy 14 7 289 9 93Glens17 16 5 286 10 Kenny*******Powers 12 7 283 11 jimbaxters 13 6 277 12 coineanach 8 5 257 13 Shanner 15 3 249 13 Fredeye 7 6 249 15 Bcassells 9 6 248 16 passbackdave 11 9 234 17 coolerking83 10 2 143 Having a look at the weather for this, the temperatures are going up, but it looks like rain for most of the week. There aren’t many matches on synthetic pitches though so I’m just going to hope we get away with it. This Saturday’s games are;- Irvine Meadow XI v Pollok Troon v Darvel St. Cadoc’s v Whitletts Victoria Ardeer Thistle v St. Anthony’s Bellshill Athletic v Newmains United St. Peter’s v West Park United Good luck.
  2. Good morning, Predictors! Last week’s results were;- Largs Thistle 0 v 1 Cambuslang Rangers Cumnock Juniors 1 v 0 Arthurlie Gartcairn 0 v 2 St. Cadoc’s Yoker Athletic 2 v 4 Maryhill Vale of Clyde 5 v 1 Lesmahagow Juniors Rossvale Academy 1 v 4 Harmony Row A bit of a meh week this week with just one correct score courtesy of @BC63. Despite this a few posters scraped into double figures but nothing startling. Looking at the leagues they are all very competitive which obviously means the matches are very difficult to predict. At least that’s my excuse for continues to be an abject showing! As always check your scores please. Here are the current standings:- Wk 12 CS Total 1 Broomhill Ultra 13 10 186 2 beith19 14 5 147 3 Spyro 10 3 136 4 dagane 7 2 132 5 Kenny*******Powers 12 4 130 6 93Glens17 9 2 129 6 funky monkey 9 3 129 8 Darvel legend 10 5 126 9 Shannon 5 4 124 10 happy 7 3 119 11 Shanner 16 1 113 12 coineanach 10 1 107 13 BC63 14 2 106 14 jimbaxters 2 2 100 15 Fredeye 8 1 92 16 coolerking83 8 1 86 17 passbackdave 0 2 83 We’ll have another bash at it this week though with, hopefully six fixtures that will get played whatever the weather. The only one I’m not sure about is Greenock. This Saturday’s games are;- Petershill v Kirkintilloch Rob Roy Clydebank v Kilwinning Rangers Bonnyton Thistle v Neilston Greenock Juniors v Glasgow United Finnart v Vale of Leven West Park United v Campbeltown Pupils That’s us!
  3. Just noticed there is no match thread - this one is really capturing the imagination, eh? Really cant get too excited about this - is it because these are teams in supposedly good form, both of whom shit the bed in the Scottish Cup semis at the weekend? Or is it just this fucking Covid shite / lack of fans at the matches malaise setting in? Prediction - both teams to lose.
  4. The Meh Derby El Beigico Tractorfest Perthshire v Ayshire However you want to slice it, this is the last Meh Derby of the year. I'm quite sure St Johnstone fans (along with the ubiquitous Dundee and Partick fans) will make capital of the fact that Killie fans are overly optimistic when the team haven't precisely been setting the proverbial heather on fire. That said, there's definitely a "buzz about the place". This should be Mulumbu's first game for us. A potential midfield of him and Power/ Dicker is exciting. If only we had a goalscorer, I'd be more confident. That said, I reckon we'll sneak it 2 - 1. And it's not at home, which is a bonus.
  5. Can see excitement for tomorrow night's game is palpable among both sets of fans after dire 0-0s on Saturday, so much so, I've started a topic for the first time on Pie and Bovril. In terms of team, natural width on both wings would be a start. Rooney has hit a fallow spell in open play and perhaps could do with resting. Maddison has also been realtively quiet, last Tuesday night excepted, and was kicked black and blue on Saturday. As such, I'd be very tempted to play: Lewis; Logan, O'Connor, Considine, Shinnie; Jack, McLean; McGinn, Pawlett, Hayes, Stockley. For the love of god, use the width in our team and try to go at Motherwell quickly with the ball. Our build up play has to be better. Not sure about the Motherwell team situation at present but McGhee is in the stand for this one I believe. Predictions are a dire 1-0 win for the Famous, Hayes scoring, in front of a sub 9,000 crowd with under 150 travelling from Lanarkshire so close to Christmas.
  6. Looks like no one has been arsed starting a topic on this one yet, which is hardly surprising since it's a Mehfest. Anyroad: Sat 9 Apr 2016 - Scottish Premiership Kilmarnock v St Johnstone 15:00 I don't think we need to go over again how utterly baws we are at present, but this could be a chance to get revenge on our boring cousins for allowing Dundee United to close the gap on us in their last game. Hopefully Boyd will be back on the bench. He's absolutely finished at this level. The diffculty is seeing where our goals are going to come from. Miles Addison and Alex Henshall may get a longer run out as they approach match fitness. As for the score, I'm going to maintain the blind optimism which has been a mainstay of my Kilmarnock supporting life and predict a nervy 2-1 win for us.
