  1. The Greater Glasgow Premier AFL are inviting applications from new and existing Saturday morning teams for their new Saturday morning section. Given the rise in popularity in morning football the GGPAFL feel it is a progressive step for their league set up to offer morning football in addition to the already existing afternoon football. While we are aware there are other Saturday leagues (mainly the GCFA and SMAFA) we wiah to offer an alternative to clubs. We are keen to hear from new and existing clubs for both mornings and afternoons. The GGPAFL offer the following: SAFA fees paid Public Liability Insurance paid Match balls plus more. If anyone is interested in applying, or wants more information, please get in touch through the forum or at ggpaflsm@outlook.com. https://www.greaterglasgow.co.uk/ https://x.com/ggpafl
  2. No idea what to expect here. Doc always gets us to bounce back but Killie look good. I'd take a draw. Thank you.
  3. Well, it's 8th vs. 7th. We're 4 points ahead with a game in hand. Hopefully we can bounce back after the loss to Hibs. Saying that, we don't tend to do so well away from home. Motherwell seem to be pretty average home and away. 1-1 draw!? Thank you.
  4. Hi, Looking to see if anyone can recommend any preseason amateur football tournaments? Either in Scotland or anywhere else in the UK. Thanks.
  5. Hamilton picking up a bit of form but it’s gotta be a romp for the good guys…right!?
  6. It’s Thanksgiving in the States on Thursday which means we have 3 games to look forward to! The Yanks really do love their football and Turkey 17.30 - Bills @ Lions 21.30 - Giants @ Cowboys 01.20 - Patriots @ Vikings
  7. Two good results for the teams going into the big match of the Championship. Shame I'll miss this but will watch in anticipation of a decent game. ICT have turned a corner results wise but Thistle will be confident of at least a point. Could be a few goals. ICT 1 PTFC 3
  8. Accies seem to be doing better than most people expected but they’re still sitting in 8th. However, always a tricky one and we have a bit of needle with them. I’m hoping Gal can fire up the boys and we can sneak an away win now the defence seems more stable. Thank you.
  9. Selected pick of sides conquered by Scottish sides I took about 4 hours to do this. But I think the effort was worth it. Here is a list of some of the great club sides that Scottish clubs have defeated in competitive games. I have selected a pick of the sides, they have also defeated other teams I have not mentioned. I am including a win in any individual game, including after extra time. So they may have been knocked out over two legs by the same team. I do not include penalty shoot outs, or away goals rule victories, when both games were drawn. This is purely a list of individual game wins by Scottish sides. The order shows the name of a European team with a list of Scottish teams who have beaten them in Europe. Plus almost all non European teams such as Corinthians, and Santos. No Scottish team has played Truro City, of Cornwall. The teams beaten by the most Scottish teams seem to have been Standard Liege, Anderlecht, and Sporting Lisbon. Scottish clubs have also beaten nations in friendlies including Striling Albion against Japan, Aberdeen against South Africa, and Hearts against Australia.

  11. Hi everyone! I need help choosing a football jersey brand. I was wondering which brand, macron or errea, has better quality jerseys. I'd appreciate your help because I want to customize a jersey for my brother as a gift for his birthday.
  12. Hey guys, I have a project for personalized football shirts on the Teespring platform, if you can take a look there, I'm sure you will like the project a lot. If you like it and can help, show it to a friend or share it on whatsapp or on a facebook group, it would help me a lot to start selling my products, which were made by a football fan, like you. thank you for your attention, i will leave the store link right here, with all the product catalog that i have already made. 13. My name is Zak Waters and I have just released what hopefully will be a book on Kickstarter this week entitled Life's a Ball 90s. It is a project I shot in the 90s around fanatical football supporters in the UK. One of the supporters was a man called Gordon Rae who was a fanatical East Fife supporter. He played the bagpipes at games and was a member of St Andrews. Gordon features in the book. I am attaching the link to this feed. Is there any way you could spread the word on the book and his involvement with the project with your football community? Thank you for your support. The link to the project is below Life's a Ball 90s
  14. MOST PROFITABLE Cadiz Granada Leicester LEAST PROFITABLE Parma Torino Valladolid This post ranks how profitable each team in the top 5 European leagues are if you were place a 1 point stake on them in every match: https://bitedge.com/blog/most-profitable-soccer-teams-to-bet-on-2021/ Interestingly, if you backed a draw in every German Bundesliga match last season you'd end up over 19 points up. Whereas, backing the draw in the Premier League and Ligue 1 would leave you 48 and 33 points down respectively. A lot of the bigger teams don't allow for much profit across the season, which I guess shows the value of value! Finding underdogs which will win is a much better strategy than backing a team like Liverpool (5 points down), Man City (0.9 points down) or PSG (3 points down). Anyone manage to back Granada to beat Barcelona at 20.98?!
  15. Hi everyone, I am doing some research for a new project that I'm involved with and I am trying to find amateur film / cine / Super 8 footage of Scottish football shot by fans between the 1960s and 1980s. I am particularly interested in 'lost', 'forgotten' or 'unseen' footage of games that might otherwise not have been filmed by anybody else. Or footage of fans in bars, on supporters buses, foreign trips, outside stadiums etc. Do you or anybody you know have any old film cans lying around in an attic somewhere that haven't seen the light of day for 30-odd years? Do you need help converting old film cans to digital? Do you have any games on films that might be the only copy of that match anywhere in the world, or any films of fans who are no longer with us, or stadiums that have been knocked down? Please let me know if you have anything like this and I can tell you more about the project and what it entails. Please reply here or email me on neil.sargent1@outlook.com Thanks!

  17. Hi All, I am new to the forum and was hoping to tap into the readers / posters to gather some market research data on the subject of catering facilities at football stadiums in Scotland. I want to hear about your experiences if possible - both good and bad. It would be good to hear about issues such as the following: Quality of food Time spent queuing at stadium kiosks Availability of menu offerings Pricing What could be done on the whole to improve match-day catering in Scotland? If you are happy to provide an answer and share your experiences, please can you include which team you support and which ground you had your good/bad experience at (if different to your home team). Many thanks in advance
