If the Twitter interaction I had with a Falkirk fan the other day is any indication to go by, the Bairns faithful will be raring to go for this game! Us Dees are a fair bit less interested I would wager, though I think winning the Diddy Double™ wouldn't be the worst thing. We've been on a very strong streak of late, and I'd be surprised if Bowyer made too many changes to the starting XI, especially with extra time between this game and our next league one. Would Falkirk fans say they've improved since our meeting in the League Cup, or has McGlynn's side stagnated or regressed? I remember the LC game being a relatively comfy win, but it took us a while to get there. Airdrie proved a tough challenge for us until ET in the Scottish Cup, so I'm sure this won't be a cakewalk.

LC semi-final, Hampden Park. Saturday 23rd January 2021. 5:30pm kick off. With Hibs losing 3 on the bounce, and Saints winless in 8 since knocking out Motherwell in the second round of this competition at the end of November, this is shaping up to become a classic. Roll on a thread full of "we're playing shiter than you". With Saints on a run of 4 games unbeaten, and Hibs unbeaten in two, this is shaping up to be a cracker between two form teams. Match is live on Premier Sports 1 if anyone in the country has that channel...

Sitting somewhere around the EFL Trophy and the Challenge Cup level in terms of prestige the Club World Cup is once again underway. Such is the fever pitch excitement surrounding this years tournament I'm sure you'll all be surprised to hear that 5 matches out of 8 have already been completed. Kashima Antlers have reached the final today after beating Atlético Nacional 3-0. The game was notable as a penalty was awarded with help of a video replay. I'm sure Kashima Antlers are the first "host club" and first team from Asia to reach the final. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38318258 Tomorrow América play Real Madrid in the other semi-final.

United face Celtic in the final after the teams beat Aberdeen (2-1) and The Rangers (some score, currently 2-0) respectively. The huge worry for United / boon for Celtic is the suspension of star striker Nadir 'Big Nads' Ciftci, so there's a lot of pressure on Henri Anier and/or Super Mario Bilate to get up to speed by the final. I'll plump for 2-2 at full time, United nicking a winner in extra time courtesy of a Paul Paton screamer.
