  3. It's been a little while since we've had a WWE PPV Prediction League running. There have been successful ones in the past so lets see if we can make this work again. A poll is currently up to see whether you just watch WWE PPV's and/or NXT Takeover specials. Might take some time for results to come in so we will miss out NXT Takeover: San Antonio and if there's a resounding approval of introducing Takeover into the league then we can start at WrestleMania weekend with that. Also allows others that don't watch it right now to perhaps catch up with it if they need to. In an update on the poll, wasn't a resounding yes to the inclusion of NXT Takeover events, which is fair enough as we already have a lot of PPV's as it is. The next point to address is that this year we will be returning to the proper league format where every PPV score will count towards your total. I appreciate the previous league encouraged newcomers and could have had a potentially new champion every PPV (not that Christophe would allow that!). In this instance there can only be one champion once we've reached the end of the year after the final PPV. Looking for a full calendar year worth of commitment from you all, this would only include popping into the thread to place your predictions just before a PPV. You are competing against your fellow wrestling fanatics and if you stick it out to the end and become the champion, not only will you have the bragging rights as the top boy/girl in The Wrestling Forum. The champion at the end of 2017 will also get to choose a charity for myself to donate £20 to and hopefully defend it the following year. Hopefully my accompanying PPV threads throughout the year will keep the casuals in the loop and give them enough to at least have an attempt to play along for most, if not all PPV's. Rules / Need To Knows Posting predictions does not require a PM, must be posted in the thread as this is the way it's always been. Predictions for a RAW PPV must be in by 23:59 on a Friday. Predictions for a SMACKDOWN or DUAL BRAND PPV must be in by Noon on Saturday. Late entries will receive a 2 point deduction for that PPV. Each PPV's match listing (+ any bonus questions) will be posted by myself the day after the final show before a PPV. SmackDown Live and 205 Live would be the final shows of the week, so will be the Wednesday before each PPV. Leaderboard will be updated the day after the PPV. Each correct answer will be worth 1 point. If a prediction requires more than 1 selection, it will be 1 point per correct selection. Any impromptu matches announced (on the night etc) after the match listing has been posted in the thread it will not be included in predictions. 4. Hello everyone. Just to let you all know that the first SPFL Trust Charity Golf Day will take place at Archerfield Links Golf Club tomorrow (24th May). The day is being hosted by Cell Events (event business founded by SPFL players for sports clubs) and is the first event the Chris Mitchell Foundation will officially be affiliated with since their inception as a charity. It's vitally important we raise awareness of mental health in professional football as it is a silent assassin. There will be a decent amount of media coverage and highlights from the day will be posted on the Cell Events twitter @celleventsuk with the extremely topical Jamie Murphy leading the PR charge! If you wish to come along and support, feel free to do so. Or if you wish to donate or bid for a signed Rangers or Celtic strip, just DM @celleventsuk before midday. All proceeds go towards Mental Health First Aid Training within SPFL clubs. Neil Lennon, Craig Beattie, Iain Russell, Tam McManus, Scott Arfield and Lewis Stevenson are a few others who will be present in some capacity on the day. Thank you in advance!
  5. We need your help! To Absent Friends is a festival taking place across Scotland between 1-7 November. It's run by the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care, and it's to encourage people to remember those who have died and to help support those who have lost someone close. As part of this, we're doing a football Remembrance Wall on the festival website. There's a space for fans of each club to nominate someone associated with the club who has died. Doesn't need to be a player. Could be backroom staff, barman, cleaner, fan, whoever. Just someone who is an "Absent Friend" who should be remembered. All we need is a picture and 50 or so words on why they are remembered. We've had two so far - Airdrie and St Mirren - so the wall is looking a bit bare. http://www.toabsentfriends.org.uk/content/football/ Any suggestions? Please help us out and spread the word. It's in a good cause! PS We were planning to just do the league clubs, but if you support someone else, get in touch too.
  6. Boob Aid TOKYO -- A group of Japanese porn actresses raised tens of thousands of dollars at the weekend by having their breasts squeezed by fans at a "Boob Aid" charity event for AIDS prevention. The nine adult movie stars, sporting yellow campaign T-shirts rolled up to reveal their breasts, flashed a big smile as punters came to them at an event that opened Saturday. Having sprayed their hands with disinfectant, many of them were seen fondling the breasts quite discreetly. A man was seen pressing his palms together in the style of a Buddhist prayer before and after he softly touched the breasts of each of the nine girls. Women were occasionally spotted in the mostly male crowd, prompting one of the girls to say in rapture: "Wow, I'm happy. I want her to touch my breasts!" Boob Aid is part of the 24-hour "Stop! AIDS" campaign event in Tokyo, which was also televised live on a Japanese adult cable channel. The breast-squeezing resumed Sunday morning after an overnight break. More than 2,300 pairs of hands groped for a total of eight hours until early Sunday afternoon, organizers said. The figure suggests some $23,000 has already been collected as each participant was expected to donate 1,000 yen (about $10) or more. The final money count will be announced after the event closes at around 8 p.m. on Sunday. The event is the 12th since its launch in 2003. It is backed by the Japan Foundation for AIDS Prevention. "I'm really looking forward to lots of people fondling my boobs," Rina Serina told the Tokyo Sports newspaper before the event. "But I would be very happy if you would please be delicate." The event comes after sexist heckling of a Tokyo assemblywoman hit the headlines, highlighting old-fashioned views towards women that still permeate Japanese society. "I never thought my boobs could contribute to society," added the ponytailed Serina, apparently unaware of any contradiction. Fellow porn actress Iku Sakuragi had no qualms about being groped by hundreds of pairs of hands. "It's for charity," said the 21-year-old. "Squeeze them, donate money -- let's be happy." © 1994-2014 Agence France-Presse Link: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/lifestyle/classified-odd/08/31/14/japan-porn-queens-raise-thousands-boob-aid Who would you nominate P&Bers?
  7. Hi guys, Just wanted to let you know that my book of prank letters to football clubs is now available at http://www.eatthebreed.bigcartel.com priced £6.99, with £1 of every sale going to an amazing charity. When buying the book you can pick which of the three charities the book is supporting you want your pound to go to - TACC, the Oscar Knox Appeal, or the Adam Stansfield Foundation (set up in memory of the Exeter City player whose spoof portrait I painted for the book who tragically passed away just seven months after signing his portrait). There are a mixture of letters to Scottish and English clubs in the book. The Scottish clubs involved include Hearts, Celtic, Morton, Dumbarton, Ayr Utd, Livingston, Stenhousemuir, Dundee and Elgin City. Here's the cover: There are also a number of 1986 Panini stickers throughout the book, such as Rangers, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Hibs, and Clydebank (below): The charities involved and I would really appreciate your support with the book and thanks very much for reading. Cheers Fraser
