  1. Shankland basically has to hope we're losing to get a game.
  2. Massive. Shankland deserved at least 20mins after his goal.
  3. Norway are literally only attacking down our left.. There was a period of a couple of minutes where they tried going down our left, came back into midfield, tried to go down our left, came back into midfield, tried to go down our left etc etc etc. They must've done it around seven time and never once considered switching the ball to our right.
  4. Not to be hysterical or anything, but while obviously happy at our results thus far this season, I've never really been convinced. Always just had that nagging doubt that much of it is because the Championship is utter dog shite. Like much much much worse than the last time we were here. No matter how the game ends against Falkirk, they've completely outplayed us, which is concerning.
  5. Applied for tickets for 12 games - got none.
  6. For me, our two best players tonight were Middleton and McMann, which is a statement that would've been met with derision by most last season. I've always liked them even when they were pish, so delighted to see them performing. We took real command of that game tonight when Mochrie was brought on. Not because he was amazing, but because we started to play with Mochrie and Glass as 8s, and that let us play the ball between players in spaces in central areas going forward. When we play with two 6s and a 10, everything keeps doing that U-loop from side to back to side. I really don't see the need for two 6s in this league. We always seem to play better when Glass (or Mochrie) is playing a little deeper rather than pairing Sibbald with Doherty or Tillson.
  7. CB. Has great potential. But we all know that doesn't always translate. I thought Scott Banks would be a player when he left us at 17. First time I saw Kerr was as a 15yo in a friendly against Sheff Utd's first team and he was a standout. But no idea how he's been getting on in Villa's youth ranks.
  8. Can't quite be magnanimous enough to wish him good luck at the farmers, but will be interesting at least. I half-thought when he turned us down it was because he really couldn't be arsed anymore, but nope, he just didn't like the setup.
  9. Obviously all footballers are affected by confidence, but with Freeman it seems perpetual.
  10. Which is why Id say it'd be a good place to base yourself if you want to book early. Cheaper than host cities and good transport links to other venues. And it not Milton Keynes.
  11. All good players and can obviously grab a goal but some creativity and width would be nice.
  12. Same. One of the best forwards we ever produced - hence the record fee. He may have been a thug, but boy was he an entertaining one!
  13. Had to google that one. Clearly I've forgotten more comprehensively than you.
  14. I turned on the DUTV commentary for the last ten minutes. Well, 'commentary' is doing a lot of heavy lifting. The guy doesn't say anything for 20-30 seconds at a time, occasionally whispers to himself and screams stuff like "good challenge" out of nowhere! Oh, haud on, the co-commentator just said something for the first time in at least five minutes.
  15. The middle man pretty irrelevant in this case I guess. Kinda doubt Fox had long since had his eyes on a goalkeeper playing in Australia.
  16. And dropped for the weekend. De Zerbi has that annoying trait of constant rotation.
  17. Love Robbo, but never ever a peno. More of a foul on the keeper than anything. The only reason Robbo gets hurt is because he's gone for a ball he's got no chance of winning.
  18. Its a Brighton thing in as much as the other midfielder - Gross in this case - usually vacates the midfield leaving just the one option in there. So he's either demanding the ball or pointing to where it should go instead.
  19. Berlin would honestly be one of the last places I'd base myself. Even though it's the capital it's a bit meh from my experience and most of the matches are a fair trek. I'm going to Munster because I know it well and the links are great, but I'd suggest other non-host cities such as... Bremen, Heidelberg, Essen, and Hanover for more centrality to games and being pretty cool.
  20. I've booked accommodation in a town not hosting any matches specifically to avoid this.
