  1. Biased on club tv is to be expected. Dave, however, is just a slavering fud who continues to be employed despite not understanding he's meant to be co-commentating rather than screaming nonsense like every other punter in the stadium.
  2. Would be awesome if true. Livramento especially looks to be a baller. We shall see.
  3. I remember we played against Ireland B years back because Sean Dillon and Noel hunt got a game for the Irish. And Jim Goodwin got sent off! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/7100835.stm It's a nice idea but impractical these days. But yeah, do it for Gauldy.
  4. Exciting in the sense that Goodwin has confirmed he wants rid? Because there's nothing about any club being interested in taking him off our hands.
  5. That alone should illustrate why he wouldn't touch us with a bargepole. In the right hands, you could turn around most clubs in the four national divisions below the Premier League and make them reach the promised lands where oodles of cash await. Bournemouth and Luton both have grounds with smaller capacities than Tannadice. In the right hands, you could turn us around and get us finishing 3rd in the Premiership every year and possibly turn out the merest of profits - and that's dream scenario stuff. Only fools with cash to spare will invest in Scottish fitba.
  6. So would I, but I certainly wouldn't stop asking.
  7. Not sure how Dusseldorf is a better base than Stuttgart? I had planned on staying north of Dortmund but that idea has been sacked. Being in Munich for the opening game is a no-brainer (despite the cost), so staying there a couple of days and still considering where to go afterwards. Might go to somewhere like Mannheim to keep costs down after spunking the cash in Bavaria.
  8. 6 goals and 5 assists in 13 PL games is not bad for useless. Livramento looks really good. A game in the Euro2024 opener should tempt him
  9. Praying for all those who booked Berlin. I think I'm gonna decamp to somewhere near Stuttgart.
  10. Shades of 98 when it took a Boyd OG for Brazil to sneak past us in the opening game.
  11. Running around all my devices wondering where I'd left a PornHub window open! On another note - possible QF against England
  12. Well of course they fixed it so we'd open the tournament
  13. Literally, nobody discussing him here is saying "Get him in the team!!!!!!!" Just others are capable of expressing an opinion beyond "he's just pish". Simply talking about a player who could've made more of an impact. btw Barry Bannan garnered way more caps (27) than Cairney, and despite "been at times amongst the best plauers in the Championship" has played for a team that hasn't made the top half of that division in the last seven seasons.
  14. He's played around 100 games in the Premier League, captaining his side for the most part - he can't be that pish. If he just wasn't interested in playing international fitba fair enough, but that is a little strange.
  15. Had Fulham v Wolves on in the background and was reminded of Tom Cairney who won MotM. It seems strange that a guy that has played his entire career in either the Premier League or the top end of the Championship only has two caps. And he’s generally been captain of his club for much of that time. Truth be told I can’t even remember his two appearances but I’m presuming they weren’t great, but strikes me as odd that a guy playing at the level he has never made any impact on the national side.
  16. Sure you can. You can also care less about one thing than the other.
  17. Didn't see it so can't really comment, and honestly don't care about any cup when promotion is the only real concern. Possibly an element of the players viewing it that way too.
  18. Indeed. Think we used 20 players in Euro 2020, and a few of those players barely reached double digits in playing time.
  19. Gough, Narey, Hegarty and Malpas. But I was more referring to the 1 goal conceded in our first 5 qualifying games compared to 14 goals conceded in our last 5 games.
  20. An odd take on a night where every chance Norway created came down the opposite flank.
