  1. It's Nicholas Briggs he's the voice of the daleks and the cybermen since the series started again.
  2. http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/questions-questions-the-unsolved-clara-mystery-part-2-68306.htm This is an interesting read. Suggests a lot is unresolved about Clara. From Dark Water, The 'key sequence', interesting reaction by The Doctor to the volcano. We've been told that Russell Davies and Moffat had a sort of plan for linking in Capaldi's character in that episode set at Pompeii with the Tenth Doctor. Was the volcano thing with Clara a tease of things to come? Also significant at the start of Dark Water was that it seemed Clara pocketed other items as well as the Tardis keys. Could be some significance there, but with a Tardis key doesn't that give her ability to summon the Tardis too? I had a look and the Tardis key can do other stuff too, so worth thinking about Clara having more than one. As for Missy, it's possibly too obvious she was the master, but why the Cybermen and an invasion of earth using the unburied dead? She's the only other Time Lord out of Gallifrey's pocket universe. Presuming she was restored after the Tenth Doctor's run in with the John Simm version, then why become a time lady? Was that the only body available to the master? Or was there another reason? Was it a regeneration? Saxon was apparantly The Master's sixth regeneration and he came back as Simm after the funeral pyre and ring thing for the final stand off with Tennant's Doctor. The point if that episode was that he summoned back the Time Lords and Gallifrey. Also, Why didn't The Doctor clock her immediately, Time Lords can detect each other and the two hearts thing or the kiss should have been enough. I suppose a time lord perception filter might be the answer, but that might also lead to the Master having her Tardis available too. But wouldn't the Master's goal be to restore the Time Lords and Gallifrey rather than just dominate the Earth again? Other questions I have are was Danny in Unit after serving in Afganistan? Who is Seb? And is he more significant than just Missy's assistant in the Nethersphere? Anyway..
  3. So £1 million salary over three years net of expenses and a £600k bonus if they go up to SPL? Wow.
  4. Hmm I'm sure there's a good and valid reasons that professionals have 'valued' these assets as they have and subject to enough caveats. The values are interesting though.
  5. Spot on. They own so many production companies that this is really just another deal. Lucas gets out, the franchise gets a new start and another generation will buy all the stuff again.
  6. my guess is that it's exponential If say 10 or 15 guys push at the tunnel exit into the pen, their force or motion just transmits through the crowd. I don't know the science behind it but at a guess. Could An 8 stone wee man pushing at the top of the slope downward snowball to crush someone bigger at the bottom despite the bodies of people in between dampening the full effect to some extent?
  7. You also have to frame it in the culture at that time. Word association with 'football' would have been 'hooligan' and if not that word then 'lout' or 'yob' Supporters were vilified by the press and the authorities leading to fences around the pitch, fences between home and away ends and even fences between sections of your home support The pens at hillsborough were built to treat football fans as animals. There weren't meant to be means of escape as the police wanted you ideally not to get out of there. It was a bleak way of watching a game trying to see over or through fences.
  8. first or mcgills are best bet. There's regular buses from outside govan subway station if you don't fancy the ride for the city centre. I'm not sure it's worthwhile getting train to Paisley and bus to braehead you probably shouldn't, but you do have to be careful with what you download and what you look at online. It's more likely to be your actions that'll cause an issue rather than a virus or malware that's out there. Read 'mac user' type websites and magazines for what they reckon.
  9. Maybe so, but.. 'Adequate' standards 23 years ago in my reckoning wouldn't have been deemed 'safe' today. It's a tricky thing to figure out, the state of the stadium, the standard of policing and stewarding. I'd hesitate to say crowd control, the dynamic or psychology of the crowd. So much of all that has changed.
  10. Good point. I'm guessing there's a number of reconstructions and analysis of what happened over the years and advances in science and technology will have figured the chain of events But somebody pushed at some point. But is it a wave effect or multiple points of pressure or a general surge? Inadequate policing, stewarding and a one in six slope into the pens amplified things.
  11. I'd say it's good news to see more folk on the forum. Certainly better to have both sides of it on here than have the series of quotes from that other website. If they can argue their case then fair enough. The influx of Celtic fans as the big thread went on sadly brought the term orc on here. I'd like to see that autofiltered as it doesn't help any discussion.
  12. Watching on eurosport 2. Bloody brilliant for the viewer and a heck of a hill finish.
  13. The echelons formed to combat the wind seemed quite a sight.
  14. Was today's stage the only flattish stage of the Vuelta? The race in hamburg was an interesting finish. Saw references to Wiggo's charidee sportive ride on twitter and he made some I interesting comments in the presser. Good boost to the Tour of Britain if Wiggo is riding it, is it after the WC's or before?
  15. Froome has tweeted a cheesy pic with the bronze. Superb!
  16. I'm not much if a church goer, but any time I've been in the proddy church it's usually god bothering as the first agenda then making you give cashpounds to the poor weans in Africa then trying to make you feel guilty enough to go again. I've never heard the CoS say anything anti catholic in their sermons.
  17. If Newco got in the SPL then they're het for the Oldco's punishments. If Green wants to avoid a doing, he might be better withdrawing the application.
