I was walking out my wife's office on St Enoch Sq the other evening after I had been in doing some work. It's a pedestrianised area so I wasn't really expecting a Just Eat c**t on one of these e-bikes with the big chunky tyres to go skelping past me at about 30 miles an hour as I came out the door.

I went to see Reginald D Hunter at the Pavilion in Glasgow years ago. It was a really strange night. He absolutely died on his arse, and really seemed like he couldn't be fucked. After almost bang on 60 minutes on stage, he announced that he had "done his obligated time" (or words to that effect) and that was it. Folk sort of hung about expecting him to come back out and he didn't.

I think when I was at Safeway we were double time on a Sunday and Double time and a half in a bank holiday. Me, after landing two 12hr shifts on Sunday and b/h Monday:

I worked in Safeway when I was a kid and did a few nightshifts during school holidays for some extra cash. The folk that did it full time were a weird bunch. It was like discovering there was a whole different population that only came out at night.
