What I would say however is Falkirk have no right to be more annoyed than Airdrie or Montrose. They finished in a playoff spot. For as much as some of their fans have mentioned sporting integrity, they would have accepted the reconstruction proposal in a heartbeat regardless of the perceived fairness or otherwise of their fellow playoff clubs gaining nothing. I would too in their position granted, but it's not really about integrity, its about Falkirk not benefitting.

That whole post is bang on the money but especially the part I've quoted.

Everyone is looking out for what's best for them. I'd want my club to do exactly what Hearts and Thistle are doing if we were in their position just like they'd want their club to have our standpoint if they were in our position.

pandering to the Namby-pamby, care-in-the-community bollocks some have spouted?

"Namby pamby care in the community bollocks" 🤦🏻‍♂️

Aka keeping players on 80% of a wage which would allow them to pay their bills whilst lining up another job once furlough isn't an option.

What is it with some Dunfermline supporters not being able to acknowledge that some things their club does/has done is absolutely shite behaviour?

They're easily one of the scummiest clubs in Scotland.

Just changed the bookmark for it. Absolutely delighted we're away from that shitshow of a league. Hopefully we can move forward as a club.

I'm actually excited about trips to Cappielow and Somerset.

This is the most 'together' I can remember the club being since the glory days of the 90s.

Good board steering us, supporters right behind this group of players and lots of good stuff happening in the background.

    'Mon the fucking Rovers!

2-2 v Dunfermline was pretty good (if you ignore the first 80 mins)

    Should have been 3-0 down.

Pars down to 10 men taking of one player and putting on two. Rovers bench going mental.

Pars fans singing “You’re just a wee team” as Alan Walker’s header loops over the goalie for a 97th minute equaliser.

    Braw.

What an atmosphere at that game!

I'm sure the Pars would have went top if they won.

Motherwell beat us 5-0 our 5-1 and Munro was sacked in the car park.

Then Rangers put 6 past us. I left before half time in that match. I had a season ticket for the railway stand back then and it was 80-90% away fans when we played the old firm. I couldn't stand watching any more of that.

On the flip side, it was great for that Celtic match to be able to give a bit back to all the Celtic fans who had been celebrating 60 seconds earlier. I recall being warned by a steward for over celebrating when we drew 2-2 with Rangers that season because it could incite their fans sitting in our end. Absolute nonsense it was.

I remember a bald Rangers supporter sitting in our end at that game. He wasn't trying to conceal his allegiance and got turfed out for his own good when Rovers supporters started slapping his bald napper.

Nah, never seen Dunfermline fans get wound up by reminding us we were in admin. It is what it is, club went into administration, fans rallied round and saved the club and we're run by far better board now, worked out for the best.

On the other hand I've seen some right seething messes come up that hill past the away end when the wee team song is getting belted out.

    Worked out for the best?

Wonder if the creditors who are out of pocket think that? 🤔

A far better board that just pumped a load of employees onto the benefit system.

Your standards must be very low.

A notion that I can't remember anyone portraying. Ever.

It's just banter lads. Whilst I have no love of the Rovers I certainly don't hate them. Can't say the same for a fair percentage of you lot. Genuine question - will you ever get over our administration? It was in 2013. 7 (seven) years ago. If you still feel the need to be utterly raging about it then I suggest counselling.

Dunfermline's shameful admin is a good stick to beat their fans with.

Carries a lot more of a punch than the 'wee team' jibes.

Does anyone else think we will have Nike kits next season? Seen a few posts questioning whether the puma deal has expired, and noticed in the awards night videos that a few players had the same Nike tops on.

I don't think we'll have Nike kit next season.

Watson is a good player. Bit of pace about him too from what I remember.

Weir did well for us in the 3rd tier but failed to score a single goal in the 2nd tier. He was less effective than Jamie Mole at that level.

    Might be something in that.

Though in general there's a danger of reading too much into such things. Players have good seasons or bad seasons in the normal course of things for all kinds of reasons - when it happens to involve a change of division there's a tendency to look for some such narrative to explain it.

Graham Weir was still an important player when we went up.

He was especially effective at helping us see games out as his team mates knew they could ease any pressure on them by lumping balls into the corner for Weir to chase down.

    Not pretty but definitely effective.

    Aye. That's fair enough.

I suspect it's a bluff from Raith. They'd take promotion, 1st place prize money and no title.

    Agreed.

If you told us that would happen at the beginning of the season every single Rovers supporter would take it.

League 1 is killing us. We need to be in the Championship at least.

So from the boards statement I read it as 2 promoted into every league making a 14 10 10 10 with no relegation. Presumably the greatly wronged victims in all this Falkirk would also have cheated their way up?

    Aye.

I fully expect their support to be dead against it as much as they are about the Rovers going up without the league season being finished.

    🤔

Why are Raith bothered about being champions?

I get the promotion thing. I'm in favour of 2 up / 0 down as well but what's the point in naming champions.

That's also my preference but the amount of folk having sly digs at my club when their own club would do exactly as the Rovers have done is pushing me towards wanting to be announced as champs for the meltdowns.
