  1. BBC were showing Djokovic v Zverev, 1 set all, Zverev with a break in 3rd set......."Unfortunately we're going to leave the tennis to take you to the Olympic stadium where Australia are taking on Fiji in the womens sevens......"
  2. Was discussing this prancing horse guff with Mrs. FP last night after hearing Claire Balding and the annoying Lahndahn presenter going full orgasmotron over the taekwondo and swimming and gymnastic performances by Team GB. "This will inspire thousands of youngsters up and down the land to get into the gym/onto the mat/into the pool...... just amazing..." However, there is no chat about "da yoot" beating a path to the local paddock to get involved in horse dancing. I wonder why this could be?
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/jul/28/revealed-queen-vetted-67-laws-before-scottish-parliament-pass-them "The Queen’s consent procedure, which critics have called anti-democratic, has been used repeatedly by the monarch in recent decades to secretly lobby for changes to proposed UK legislation before it is passed by parliament. The extent of the practice in Scotland, where it is known as crown consent, has until now been unknown to the public."
  4. Was that 'designed' with input from Carrie Symonds-Bojo ?
  5. So, just by coming onto this thread for 5 mins., I've learned what a 'groyper' is and also what a 'stan' is. Every day is a skool day on Pn'B, especially for us Generation Joneses. "Groypers are extremely conservative and critical of more mainstream conservative organizations, which they believe to be insufficiently nationalist and pro-white. Groypers and their leaders have tried to position the group's ideology as being based around "Christian conservatism", "traditional values", and "American nationalism". Some Groypers downplay the extremism of their positions, and instruct others on how to engage in entryism and radicalization tactics such as slowly introducing their targets to increasingly extreme ideas.[13] Despite attempts to brand themselves more moderately, the group is widely recognized as white nationalist, antisemitic, and homophobic."

  7. Correct. C*nts that buy Ferraris and Porsches should be executed.
  8. Swanston Golf Club in Edinburgh has very good facilities, driving range and a 9-hole par 3 short course (apparently it also has the largest junior section of any club in the UK). Situated right next to city bypass. If you decide to call them, ask for Mike Robson, club manager and really good guy. https://www.swanstongolf.co.uk/administration/edinburgh-golf-group/golf-facilities/
  9. Simone Biles has withdrawn from gymnastics team final. Apparently NBC news is reporting "mental health" issue but no idea where they're getting info from.
  10. Doesn't AbbyRasputinNormalShandonAccidentPar live in this neebourhood ?
  11. First two PCR tests were negative, third and final one returned a positive. Not enough time for Spain to send a replacement, Patrick Reed taking DeChambeau's spot on the US team. Oh goodie................an absolute c*nt being replaced by a cheating c*nt.

  13. Fuxake........of course, an effective opposition would be on this like a tramp on chips. On a slightly different note :- "The government’s current public infection control strategy is not working, it is leading to rocketing case numbers with more illness in the community, more people in hospital, and more people having to isolate. It is time for an urgent rethink rather than staying on the same course. BMA members across the country are seeing patient care threatened as surges in Covid illness is resulting in hospitals having to cancel more non-urgent care and GPs are overstretched with demand. Local public health units are overwhelmed with calls from schools and businesses. These pressures are now being exacerbated by increasing numbers of health service staff themselves falling ill or self-isolating, and unable to work at a time when they are most needed. Other key services such as supermarkets are telling us that they are struggling to put food on their shelves due to staff absences. The government needs to wake up. This is not a problem about excessive pinging of the NHS app, but is a direct result of lack of effective measures by government that is allowing the virus to let rip throughout the nation. The BMA has repeatedly warned that amidst the highest levels of infections in the world, now is not the right time to abandon legal restrictions such as social distancing and mask wearing - and we are likely to see this situation continue to worsen as a result." On Monday the government announced that fully vaccinated frontline health and social care workers will be able to use daily testing as an alternative to isolation, if they have been in contact with someone testing positive, in some circumstances. (This is broadly the same policy extended to food depot workers, and to some critical workers, last night). But Nagpaul argued this policy was a mistake. He said: "Exempting healthcare staff from self-isolation to get them back to work is a desperate and potentially unsafe policy that does not address the root problem. The safety of patients and staff must be paramount. People go to see healthcare professionals in order to get better, not to risk getting infected, and staff should not fear transmission of the virus from their own colleagues." Dr Chaand Nagpaul, the chair of the BMA council.

  17. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/jul/19/boris-johnson-prime-minister-risk-gamble "Since 2020, Johnson has been sorely tried by apparent misfortune. He has experienced serious illness, a painful divorce, financial worries, the resignation or stepping down of his chancellor, health secretary, the leader of his civil service, and the head of his political staff. His leadership was never suited to collective government. It is egomaniacal, based on charm, fumbling, humour and an addiction to publicity – all handicapped by his relationship with truth which is as dysfunctional as his relationships with women."
  18. "2800"..........Is that the number of victims that have seen the inside of that Transit ?
