GOOD TO GO FOR 20/21 - NEW SIGNING Today it was confirmed that the SPFL L2 campaign for season 2020/21 will commence on 17 October and that the League season will comprise 27 matches. With that start date in mind, Cowdenbeath FC are pleased to announce signing news for the season ahead. Firstly, we are delighted to confirm that defender Ross Clarke has put pen to paper for Cowdenbeath FC. Ross (24) was with Albion Rovers last season and was named as Player of the Year by the Cliftonhill club. We offer Ross a very warm welcome to Central Park (once we open up again!!) Also signing on for the new season are Jacob Glass and Lewis Owens, both of whom were with the club last year. Jacob and Lewis have now both turned 17 and will be looking to break through into the first XI in the season ahead. They are also both still able to turn out for the FEFA U-18 side given we will not have a reserve side in 2020/21. We wish all 3 players every success in 2020/21.

Didn’t miss many games this season. Midweek trips to paisley and Clydebank with 5-0 hammerings although St Mirren away seen us collect our other league win. EEP was special though - good auld Jocky Scott [emoji38]

Still time for Brechin, we’ve been here and it’s horrible. They didn’t look like a bottom on if league side. Always a favourite away day for me and really hope they survive.

I think wind played a big part today

Played some fantastic stuff 1st half passing ball around, Jordan Allan scoring a great header from Fraser Mullen free kick. Lucky with 2nd goal blunder from their keeper. Jordan so unlucky last kick of 1st half - some skill n shot bouncing back of post. Felt 3 nil would have finished job. 2nd half we seemed to stop!!! No sure if wind was a factor ? But Brechin right back in it and deserved to get back level. Credit to us for coming back and going on to win the game.

Best we’ve played in along time. At 2-1 thought they were going to undeservedly get something from the game but thankfully we got the 3rd after missing a few decent chances. Their no 16 could easily had seen red along with Marsh too who appeared to me to stamp on Smith All the best folks
