  1. Mother is nearly 90 and either going deaf or in the early stages of losing it , waiting on assessment from doctor. Today phoned Halifax to cancel a direct debit. Gave phone to mother to answer security questions but apparently was unable to answer to their satisfaction. End result after 20 minutes of arguing with employee and supervisor, DD for £11 still not cancelled. Would have been a different story if I was trying to get money out of the account but to refuse to cancel a DD. I was told to try phoning back and she maybe able to answer the questions then or call at the branch! There is doing your job and being an officious arse.
  2. Read the statement: Monday 1 March 2021 As outlined at the weekend by the National Clinical Director for Scotland, Professor Jason Leitch, the Scottish FA has been in regular dialogue with the Scottish Government since the temporary suspension of football was implemented on January 12. This suspension was approved by the Board of the Scottish FA against a backdrop of increased positive cases for COVID-19 nationwide caused by new strains of the virus. Following a meeting with the Minister for Public Health Sport and Wellbeing, Mairi Gougeon, a temporary suspension of all football was agreed, encompassing all predominantly part-time tiers of Scottish professional football: SPFL League One, SPFL League Two, Scottish Women’s Football Premier Leagues 1 & 2, Highland League, Lowland League, East, West & South of Scotland Leagues, Scottish Junior FA Leagues and the North Caledonian League. Since then, a series of discussions have taken place via video conference with all leagues affected by the suspension, to establish the measures and protocols under which each might resume their competitions. This information has been shared with the Scottish Government and, while it has been positively received, we await a final decision from Ministers. Rod Petrie, Scottish FA President: “We are grateful to all leagues, clubs and participants affected by the temporary suspension for their patience and understanding during this period of uncertainty. They have played their part in keeping the nation safe and restricting the potential spread of the virus. “I would also like to thank the representatives from those leagues and clubs, who have been proactive and collaborative in giving their input into safe and sustainable plans for a to return to competition. “These plans have already been discussed with government officials. We look forward to hearing when and in what circumstances those leagues which have been suspended can return to training and, ultimately, to playing.” Certainly looks like the SG were instrumental in suspending the minor leagues and it looks like it will be their decision when it can restart.
  3. "However in a statement provided, the SFA revealed plans to bring back action have been shelved once again with hopes of bringing down virus numbers before giving the go-ahead. The SFA told how they have been in discussions with members of the clubs involved but were unable to agree upon a decision to bring football back at that level. They also confirmed they will reassess the issue by March 1." Anyone any idea when they are going to release the statement today? Given the fact that vaccinations are going well and infection numbers are falling you would hope we are given a restart date today.
  4. I would like to see a collective of chairmen make a statement that they will never vote for this but the financial element will be a draw to some. This was raised at our AGM a few years ago when first mooted and I think there was some were surprised by how vehemently it was opposed. When you look at the number of Scottish players in both the OF teams in the past few weeks this lacks even more credibility. How much are Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen etc going to chip in when they wish to join? If your SPL team gets relegated does your Colt team cease to exist? Will you still attend if L2 consists of 8 colt teams and 2 non colt teams?
  5. This is now getting tedious and beyond a joke. Offering each club 30K per season for 5 years to allow them to join. What part of f**k Off is it that they do not understand? Perhaps all the L1 and L2 teams should club together and argue continually and offer the same deal for Brechin and Albion Rovers Colts to be allowed into the Premiership. Seriously though at what point are the chairmen of the clubs going to unite and put closure on this crap once and for all? Our clubs are struggling at the moment so no doubt the Bigot Bros see this as an excellent time to strike and there will be a few chairmen who fancy the cash. I for one would not be back if this is allowed to happen. Chairmen should consider that if you have 100 season ticket holders paying £200 a season is that worth losing in the long term if they all walk away?
  6. Equity - let’s get the women’s game back, seriously
  7. Great stuff dumb and dumber on the daily briefing - bound to be full of doom and gloom.
  8. Will be interesting to see at this time with a pandemic if she closes parliament for the May election. I would assume that getting back to near normality is a priority rather than holding an election.
  9. After 50 odd years of supporting the Warriors I am very much in the same frame of mind. Hopefully will be enthusiastic when football restarts with fans in but sadly at the moment I really do not care. I think the crap camera coverage has helped to contribute to this feeling. Hard to get excited about a game when the camera misses much of it.
  10. Good news that McCracken appears to be conscious, hope he has a quick recovery. Thought a check of the pitch prior to kick off would have revealed the frozen patch. Was entertaining up to that point despite the camera going awol at times.
  11. Any additions welcome but do we really heed another striker at this time - we currently have 6 in the 1st team squad? Unless 1 or more are going to be leaving next month I would have thought that cover in defence was more of a priority.
  12. Better second half, well earned point, Munro at least redeemed himself.
  13. Well done the camera misses the goal and now Tapping sent off
  14. Munro Captain Fantastic giving out Xmas gifts early!
  15. Another late goal costs us - three times already this season. Luck got to change surely.
  16. Congratulations on ruining the hospitality industry, that’s a big block of votes you have lost. If this was so vital to slowing the virus down why was it not implemented at least last week? She has not a clue what she is doing.
  17. McGuigan - 37 league goals in 70 games and hardly got a sniff last year. Surely a prolific goalscorer is better than an assistant manager. Perhaps it was that train of thought that got us into the position we were in last year.
  18. Couple of good goals in the game yesterday. Kelty looked a reasonable team at times with Stevenson, in particular, impressing. Our camera system is poor quality at the moment and will it get much better? Go to Kelty's site and look at the highlights they have done - much more impressive.
  19. No merely commenting on the fact that he has impressed at trials and signed for Livvy. He certainly did not look likely to succeed during his time with us and cannot see him being a straight replacement of Lyndon Dykes if he gets a move. The release of Devlin was hard to comprehend, think it was Booth who released him. With Lithgow also being there that makes it 3 of our ex players now with one club in SPL.
  20. Salim Kouider-Alissa signs for Livingstone on a two year deal. Joins Nicky Devin who was also deemed not good enough for us.
