  1. Just watched the video and really feel for the man. Would like to hope that someone on the AR bench has also heard the comments. From the video, and I don't think anyone else has mentioned it, Cox says as he approached the stand to report the matter to SFC officials another Stenhousemuir player was standing and has made some kind of comment to him. I really hope that is not the case. Tiffoney's alleged comment is totally disgusting behaviour and has no place in the game. There has obviously been some niggle going on between the two of them but this is totally unacceptable. As Cox says if it had happened on the park he would have stiffened him and probably be made out to be in the wrong. I know everyone deserves a second chance but we are supposed to be a Community Club yet in the past few years have signed someone just out of jail and also signed 2 sex offenders - hardly the image to project to youngsters. Perhaps we need to think long and hard about who we are signing and the image we are projecting. Hopefully this matter is dealt with quickly and if proven then Tiffoney should be thrown out of the club and possibly the game.
  2. Looks like a good appointment and good luck to the man. After some of the poor ones we have had,. from promoting from within, he should be a breath of fresh air.
  3. Thought there might have been an announcement today. Would like to hope the new manager will get 3 games to assess what he has and what he wants to keep.
  4. Watched the first 45 minutes of the Cowden game and that was enough. Players playing with no pressure on them, trying to win a new contract and attract the attention of a new manager and they show very little. Bryden and Yeats again look the part but that raises an issue which someone may be able to clarify. This arrangement we have with Hibs is there a clause where we must play so many of their loan players at any given time or are they just part of the squad? Martin, Yeats and Bryden have been stand outs but would hate to be in a situation where the loan players are not of the same standard and we are again in a battle to avoid the relegation play off and they have to play a set number of games.
  5. Using the phrase some degree of normality. It will be a disaster for them if we are ever to live normal lives again.
  6. Will be interesting to see who the club goes for or if indeed they have someone lined up already. With 6 games to go we will need someone to have accessed the squad and deciding on who is going and who is staying. Irons this time round has been a major disappointment. The squad we have has not performed as they should have. I cannot understand how he preferred Spence to McGuigan as an example. So do we bring in tried and tested or someone brand new to managing or a player manager? Anyone fancy Dick Campbell, 5 promotions with 4 clubs from the 7 he has managed, someone who knows the game at this level. Would he move to us?
  7. Looking forward to the highlights later on. The amount. Of brown nosing from the commentators is nauseating. It appears we have lost the greatest man ever to live how can we carry on?
  8. Nathan Blockley caught up as a mule in a cross border money laundering operation. STV news A former Scots footballer was a ‘mule’ in a cross-border money laundering operation. Nathan Blockley, 28, was snared withdrawing £6500 of fraudulent funds on November 27, 2018. The ex-Airdrie and Peterhead midfielder – once red-carded for a tackle on then Rangers star Joey Barton – had been under police surveillance in Operation Influence. The probe involved people known as “mules” using their bank accounts to store dirty money by a third party. The “mule” would then withdraw the money, buy goods and then keep some of the cash for themselves. On Friday, Blockley pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to acquiring or possessing criminal property. He also admitted withdrawing the cash from his bank account which contained criminal property. Prosecutor Tanjeel Maleque said: “A transaction took place on November 27, 2018 in which the sum of £6500 was passed into the bank account (of Blockley) “Police intelligence found this was fraudulently obtained from North Yorkshire. Blockley was arrested later that day by police. Paul Sutherland, defending, told the court the crime came as a result of Blockley’s addiction to cocaine. The lawyer added: “His background report explains his position he finds himself in which is the catalyst for the offending. “He knows without people such as himself organised crime and drug dealing cannot function.” Sheriff Jonathan Guy tagged Blockley for 81 days, keeping him indoors between 7pm and 7am. On Thursdays and Sundays, the order changes from 10pm to 7am due to Blockley attending drug counselling. The sheriff also put Blockley, of the city’s Carntyne, under supervision for 12 months. He said: “You pled guilty to serious charges and your lawyer quite rightly accepts and highlights the connection of the offences have to serious organised crime “The court treats these matters seriously.”
  9. Though that Ryan Blair, last night, justified the comments that Irons has been making about him! If Irons cannot see that he has been rank rotten then his time is up. Halleron and McGuigan will probably be on their way out if their contracts are up. Neither has been given a chance by Irons. How he thought that Spence was better than MCGuigan is anyone's guess. From watching the highlights last night did not realise that since the opening game of the season we have only scored three times in away games. Beaver's comment above is absolutely spot on but will probably count for nothing as I expect Irons to be here next season.
  10. Just seen the highlights and cannot believe how bad we were. A huge game for us and no one apart from Paddy Martin turns up. Blair was an absolute joke. Would have loved to have heard Iron's comments on this.
  11. Is there a problem with the cameras - not getting anything?
  12. QP never looked in any danger of losing the game. From the minute they scored they strolled it. Looks like a sore one for Tiffoney
  13. New camera position has improved the viewing, still not great but better than it was. Cowdenbeath look in a world of trouble and as such hard to say how good we were although we had some nice touches. As others have said when we are dominating matches like that we need to score more. Docherty looks good but the highlight for me was Hodges run in the second half. Probably should have passed when he was in the box but it would have been a sensational goal had he scored. QP will be an interesting test on Saturday.
  14. Strong wind blowing at the moment which could make it even more of a lottery. As Beaver says there is no confidence we are going to do well at the moment and if we lose tonight you could start to see panic set in. We should be better but....
  15. Missed opportunity last night to close the gap on Stranraer to 4 points with a game in hand. Not surprising that we failed to do so as Beaver states we are not very good. With the quality of players we have we should be performing so much better but that has been the pattern for the past couple of years. Tomorrow night is a must win then assume Saturday is a foregone conclusion and rest key players to have them reasonably ready for the Elgin game or play our strongest team against QP?
  16. Big game for us tonight. We need to take 3 points to keep any slight and slender chance we have of making playoffs and condemn City further towards the sword. For City it is game that they must take something from. I assume that Muir and Little will be serving their last game of suspension. We need everyone fit and suspension free for Thursday as well.
  17. Obviously never been taken into consideration. Someone will probably come up with the idea of playing every night! Why have the authorities not been questioned about the 7pm kick off tomorrow because of European football - these clowns could not run a piss up in a brewery. Horrible, horrible season just wish it was over.
  18. Fair point - when you look at the table the 7 point gap to catch Stranraer and Elgin now looks a distant hope. Initially though we were closer to them hence the rest the team comment.
  19. Just watched the highlights and we were really poor not creating anything of note. The goal we lost was poor, no one tracking the Albion players into the box. Happened a lot in the first half that no one seemed close to some of their players. The sending off was an absolute joke. Supposedly for stamping on the keeper. It certainly looked a complete accident and Muir put up his hand to apologise immediately. I did not realise that it was the same referee as we had on Saturday and it could easily be implied that he was carrying a chip on his shoulder after some of the comments made after City game. Cup tie on Saturday - realistically our chances of winning it are slim so I would have no hesitation in resting most of the squad and if we take a hiding so be it.
  20. Though McGuigan could have done better with the missed header. Disappointing to lose two goals from distance though, but we looked as if we competed well. The melee at the end was a joke, surely Henderson had to walk for that tackle. I said last week we cannot afford to lose players to suspensions and now we are one down. Presumably it will be 2 games for violent conduct. Top 4 looks difficult but would rather consolidate our position for a fresh start next year. This season has been a right off.
  21. A win is a win. Hoppy and Biabbi looked sharp. Corbett? Second goal was a horrendous defensive error but as said it is three points in the bag. Injuries and suspensions will be vital until end of season. Thought someone was controlling the camera. Almost unwatchable with the camera not following the ball, the screen starting to split and the sound was an utter joke. Someone needs to monitor this when it is happening and try and rectify the faults.
