  1. This is reminiscent of the sacking of Gardner Spiers. He had been sacked but had agreed to stay on for a couple of games to help the club. Of course the fans weren't told and some of them hurled abuse at him. An appalling incident but at least we are keeping up one tradition namely cluelessness.
  2. What does "permanent " mean in the context of QP managers?
  3. Even when we have been playing well Morton have bullied us to not being able to win. I have zero confidence that we will not lose on Saturday but hey maybe Santa will make an early appearance this year.
  4. One the games I watched was against Celtic at Lesser. It was my granddaughter's first ladies match.
  5. A few years ago I went to a couple of the QP ladies matches. They weren't very good. Today they beat Kilmarnock and are 10 points clear at the top of the league. Congratulations to the players and staff for the massive improvement. Now let's see what can be done with the men.
  6. You should know by now that it's one rule for us and none for them.

  8. If Veldman does go (and I'm not sure that he should ) then bring back Billy Stark.
  9. Yes but during office hours (closed on Saturday) you can get a ticket from the office. Online purchases upto 15:30 on match day i.e. 30 minutes after the game starts. The supporters association sell a limited amount of stuff. Small shop beside the catering.
  10. The club issue parking and other information the day before the game.
  11. Although the error has been attributed to commentators David Coleman or Frank Bough, it was Leitch who, when the Scottish football team Raith Rovers won a match, said "They'll be dancing in the streets of Raith tonight". This was seen as a display of ignorance since Raith Rovers play in the town of Kirkcaldy.
  12. How old are you? Have you never heard "they will be dancing in the streets of Raith"
  13. Clearly should be an easy win for the Spiders but then again maybe not. I'd be happy with a narrow win for us.
  14. Clearly Barry Robson didn't learn anything from Veldman's making ill advised substitutions at Raith. Or do experienced managers make rookie mistakes.
  15. Oh well. At the end of the first round won 2 drawn 2 lost 5. However in round two won 1 drawn 0 lost 0.
  16. Winless in eight League Two games and most recently throwing a two-goal lead away in the 93rd and 95th minutes at home to Barrow. The open criticism of the team from their head coach following that result certainly felt like the writing was on the wall. Where did it all go wrong? Manager of the month in August after winning four of his first five games, Alexander looked on course to be guiding the side back to League One at the first attempt. The league wins just stopped coming though and a number of abject performances led to a toxic atmosphere and a complete disconnect between fans and the club. Sounds all too familiar.
  17. In other news - QP Ladies are back to top of the league.
