  1. Attacking kids out of the blue. Embarrassing! Enjoy your day
  2. Grabbing kids by the throat and launching kicks at them might be the normal thing to do in Cowdenbeath, but it's not for everyone else. Still, we'll promise to work on it if you promise to work on taking getting absolutely demolished by Tam Scobbie's Gers better. The only regret anyone can have from yesterday is not capturing a photograph Jamie McCormack's stunning celebration as he got it up the genetic inferiors of Fife. Happy reunion day - hope you enjoyed the 60 minutes of it you stuck about for!
  3. That'll be the more fickle amongst us probably thinking we'll win the league, before demanding a new manager next week when we lose a game
  4. It's fantastic that during these tough times, Cowdenbeath FC fans come together to remind me that I am absolutely living in your heads, completely free of any rental charges. I have to thank you all for your kindness and compassion, and for reminding me that I truly do keep you all tucked away in my back pocket. Thank you!
  5. I suppose the key point is in the final line. Unfortunately I don't think we are anymore barring a miracle year. We've spent 3-4 years pissing money and got nowhere, that isn't sustainable and a change upstairs seems to have signalled that. Respectful of everyone's opinions on it, but mine is that anyone who thinks we're getting back up to L2 without some kind of lottery win is only really deluding themselves. We are where we are. That being said, even if that is the case there are teams like UoS last season, Civil over the the last few, the likes of Cumbernauld and Bo'ness this season who seem to find ways to be competitive and at the right end, in amongst it. There's no reason we can't be doing that and in with those really. There was a lot of fuss on the FB group about whether or not a 'clearout' may be forced if things weren't going well mid-season before the season started or in the early stages. In honesty, I don't think that'd be anywhere near the kind of disaster it was made out to be if it were to happen. The buck might stop with the manager, but I'm pretty confident you could shift him and get the same exhale-inducers out of frequent offenders.
  6. I don't particularly disagree that we've been poor and it's been a disappointing start, but it's funny how Berwick Rangers fans work. A draw to 3rd place followed by 3 points and it's complete meltdown. Odd bunch.
  7. Uh oh - the silly Cowdenbeath fans have realised they've made idiots of themselves and are backtracking. That seems to be a common trait for you lot these days! Seething mess, get out my back pocket
  8. Even after you point it out, a trio of thick Cowden fans queue up one after the other to chomp at it. What a bunch.
  9. A lot of backtracking going on in here - from declaring yourselves the league winners over the last couple of weeks to one defeat and top half being good enough. I'm sorry, but with that budget, it's simply not.
  10. I've heard from an extremely reliable source that the Cowdenbeath legend is being paid four figures to appear. What on earth is going on up there?!
  11. Aye, agree - add Sinclair for me who I doubt has played 5 consecutive games in 3 years here, and I reckon the jury is still out on the new signings really. Not great
  12. Suppose it's all about opinions on the point about personnel - I'd happily name who I don't think is up to it but there's now a culture of not being able to amongst our fanbase through fear of upsetting grown men who are paid to play football these days which is a bit odd but each to their own. Must say I was baffled to hear Malcolm's interview claim that we were the better side in the first half. We bypassed the midfield for 40 of the 45 minutes in favour of aimless long-ball nonsense. The wingers might as well not have been on the park (Taylor did his best not to be and should have been sent off, Harris did more damage than good) and a central midfield 3 somehow managed to provide acres for Cowden to work in. As you pointed out, a frustrated Barr had to keep dropping in way too deep to try bring it out by the second half (and inevitably it just led to another lump forward anyway) and I don't think McCormack made it to the opposition half all afternoon. He looks about as much of a right back as I look a weightlifter. To persist with the same approach into the second half and seemingly be happy with it is probably a good indicator of why Cowden continued to absolutely stroll it in the 2nd half. It's also odd to see him bemoan those who continue to not show up in big games, while handing serial offenders like Alex Harris starts. He was utterly woeful yesterday, Declan O'Kane levels of inept. A truly bizarre player. Couple of kind fixtures but if we're beat off Hearts pressure will be on big time going into Gretna, and even with them looking relatively awful you wouldn't put it past us to throw them a win, you know what we're like. Try harder.
  13. Please don't spread these unfounded rumours Nelly, they can be very harmful. We both know there's only one club throwing money at it and it's no surprise to see that you're now massive favourites for the Lowland League title as a result. I just hope yous can see it through with a fanbase that are absolutely determined to cast doubt on the sea of talent Cowden have in their squad. Awful support if you ask me! Oh, and as you can see we still deliver highlights when we get beat, unlike some unnamed Fife clubs I can think of
  14. I saw this post before you edited it and it was a complete tirade of abuse. Looks like it was a great try and another success!
  15. Fair play, Cowden look like real title favourites and rightly so with the eyewatering money their players are on. I was speaking to a Cowden official pre-game just as the away team bus arrived about former Berwick man Ciaran Chalmers. I joked about the amount of money he was on and was told it was actually quadruple what he was getting while he was at Shielfield. No wonder he was motivated to bury us!
  16. I'm not sure I really agree. Today was awful but I think the players have to take responsibility for their part in it else it doesn't matter who's in charge. There's fault on both parts and if the finger is pointed only at Malcolm, some of the players in that squad are getting away with murder. That said, you could look at our squad going into this season and point out about 7-8 players who simply aren't good enough or shouldn't be there for one reason or another. Malcolm needs to shoulder the blame for that - it was his call to stick rather than twist and the loyalty he's shown to most hasn't been repaid. I still think it's bit bizarre he let a good changing room character go in Pyper - particularly now he appears to be having issues with getting the team to play to his instructions. I've been pro-Malcolm throughout his entire spell and still am, but I wouldn't be shocked if he's caused his own undoing at some point down the line. Cowden are ironically enough a good example of what could have been done instead. Their quickfire rebuild has been very impressive and although they didn't have much to beat today, they were completely comfortable. As an aside, Sneddon left the ground in some kind of leg contraption that makes me think he's likely out a while, capping off a fantastic day at the office.
  17. Deary me - someone is sensitive about the role they played in Cowdenbeath's literal worst season ever! I actually have it on extremely good authority that Calum has put that entire squad together - I'm sure he'd be delighted to hear you're trying to take credit for it all though. Perhaps you should stick to hiding match balls and keep away from the 'scouting system' responsible for recruiting a team of absolute jobbers? Especially given your team has now had to throw hundreds of thousands at fixing the damage done.
  18. Of course - you're not wrong but then that's not all that surprising given I'd sooner watch you up top in Black & Gold than another Lewis Allan performance. It's a shame your fellow chomping fans aren't quite as sensible - I seem to have provoked quite the reaction! Thankfully I'm hearing Liam's immune system is in top shape for tomorrow.
  19. Jesus christ - a lot of Cowden boys scrambling to play down their chances in here, bizarre. With all the hard work your manager has done to put together a squad better than a fan did (I can't believe it) and all that money you're throwing at it, the least you could do is show a bit of confidence in the squad that has got you a number of results so far this season. No doubt you'll be flip flopping again after getting 3 points tomorrow. Oddballs.
  20. The Blue Brazil must fancy themselves for Saturday, surely? Been a long old while since Cowden have gone into a game against us as heavy favourites - mind you, at least that means all the pressure is on yourselves!
  21. Someone's upset his club's failure to play said 38 year old cost them their league status
