  1. I might be giving the board a bit too much credit here but I have a feeling that this video was put out primarily to generate the kind of responses we've seen so far. I wouldnt be surprised once the furore has died down to see a follow up one on a more serious note getting into the guts of what our club actually stands for being released to try and capitalise on any serious interest. At the very least it's motivated me to up my monthly contributions to the Well Society.
  2. We should have got Amazon to produce it so we could return it no questions asked for a full refund.
  3. They also said that his partner ultimately didn't want to relocate up here as well.
  4. Was a bit disappointed that he didn't mention some of the things recently put in place to improve fan involvement like the appointment of the fan liason people and the fact that the Well Society are now actively looking to fans to come up with ideas to improve fan involvement. So things might be moving slowly on that front but at least things ARE happening.
  5. The only worry I'd have about binning Kettlewell is if we had to use monies earmarked to improve the squad on his severance package (assuming we don't have the money to do both)
  6. I stand corrected.Wasnt having a pop at you btw. For some reason I thought that we had only borrowed 2mill and the savings on pitch maintenance more or less serviced the loan. More I think about it I'm sure I read it on SO sometime back , Should have double checked considering the scource right enough
  7. Some folk online are suggesting it costs us 150k a year in Govt loan repayments. Dont know the exact figure but it will be nowhere near that. What I do know is that maintenance costs on the pitch are now roughly a fifth of what they used to be so the savings on that alone will more than cover any loan repayment costs. Think a lot of people are jumping on a bandwagon that's not really going anywhere.
  8. Not surprising when he's been used to playing on the left all season. It'll take him a game or two to get back into the swing of things on the RHS (assuming Kettlewell doesn't revert back to player tombola)
  9. Having suffered an 8 hour round trip to witness yet more dross I had convinced myself that I couldn't go through the same on Saturday so wasn't going to go. However on reflection I think we all need to turn up to support the team as best we can in what must be a make or break game for Kettlewell. If they don't fly out the traps and show 100% and its more of the same crap then for me that's it, there's no way back for them. I sincerely hope he's given them the morning off, had them in this afternoon, locked the dressing room door, had a clear the air session and nobody gets out till they get to the bottom of what's gone wrong.
  10. When you've got a goalie who doesn't command his box, a defence that is continually ball watching instead of the players they're supposed to be marking and a midfield that doesn't or can't pick up runners into the box then we're always going to concede cheap goals. All things that should be sorted on the training field and it's up to Kettlewell and the coaches to make sure they are.
  11. Anyone from the Arsenal academy will be streets ahead of anything else up here.
  12. Memorable for the last 5 minutes and the number of VAR decisions made in under 10 seconds.
  13. I could live with something like that. We sometimes forget football is supposed to be about entertainment. At the start of every season I look at the same old teams in the same old places and just get depressed at the thought of it. Money talks however and that's why it will never happen.
  14. I've always maintained that players who have never played up here before need at least 3/4 games to get used to the difference in style. Fans giving Wilkinson and Souare pelters in the cup games can now surely see that although they'll never be world beaters they're getting better the more games they get under their belts.
  15. I think a lot of SPL fans like myself like to dip into the WOSL from time to time to experience a different type of football and match day experience. I used to go to every away game but with the cost of travelling and match day tickets I pick a local game to go and see most weekends when Motherwell are away from home. More and more I'm seeing well kent faces at these games who I see at Motherwell home games. I also know some Killie fans who go to Hurlford when they are away from home. Pretty sure fans of every non old firm team would come up with a similar scenario and this is one area I think WOSL teams like JB could benefit.
  16. tbf a lot of the numbers were in hospitality and catering and are casual/match day positions
  17. From my side (the opposite) it looked more like their legs were tangled and the boy was trying to get his free. Clancy was about 2 yards away so he must have thought he kicked out deliberately and dished out the red.
  18. If he's as bad as he's being made out to be I'd like to think that Kettlewell has at least had him at a couple of training sessions to see it for himself. Always assuming what is essentially an online rumour is true of course.
