  1. You know the teams that were at it with the old firm frost. Not one of them announcing a pitch inspection today despite colder and heavier frost
  2. Giving that Clydebank have started spending, will it be seen as a failure if they do not win the league? Has money been spent with the expectation of going up this year?
  3. Astros no longer good enough for holland league as they look to ban them by 2025 so on that basis are they no longer good enough for the west prem? Just applying the same logic with an irrelevant comparison
  4. Nearly a full lunch break catching up with this thread and still haven't a clue what is going on in here. 1)The most I have taken from it is Clydebank fans confident of going up this season 2)Darvel fan(s) think you are a kid on team.... 3)Universal feeling of club being run by an arrogant bunch who think they are above others. About an hour reading just to summaries those points. Won't be back in here in a while.
  5. More reason to have your own ground? None of this ground sharing nonsense. I get it financially when teams can't afford their own grounds however there should be a cut off as to which league they should be allowed in while ground sharing. Clubs that invest in their own parks are at a disadvantage to those using council facilities. West Prem up the way shouldnt be ground sharing imo
  6. You'd still prefer grass though wouldn't you and a facility that feels less of a community sports hub and more of a stadium.
  7. A game where the most important thing was winning. Hard watch first half, second half much better. Overall not a classic however through that is what matters. Looking forward to the Hurlford game now, will be a tough test.
  8. I second this, good player and well liked, hopefully does well. Difficult job right enough as I think Whitletts don't have a great deal of bodies at present. I personally wouldn't like to see them go down.
  9. I think he is a good manager/football person and I personally have a lot of time for MK. That said at Darvel he only won the post covid league title when nearly all teams were holding back spending. He got promotion through default into the prem. Not sure that record matches that of Tuckers who has been successful over a 20 year period at Talbot never spending crazy money and always keeping a steady ship.
  10. Wow for a club with next to no cups to their name, this is confidence.
  11. Kick off set by league as 1:30 I don't see any valid reason to move any kick off to suits a game out of our league.
  12. Don't see it being off, imo best surface at our level. 8 degrees on current forecast on Saturday just need the brolly.
  13. I maintain it is the worst venue at our level. Big patch in the astro. Agree more of a council facility feel.
  14. Why is Troon going for it, no disrespect to them however they are a team that has rarely challenged for anything. I can't see them moving up the ranks anytime soon.
  15. Forecast no looking great frost wise this weekend, been years since I have been through at Vale of Leven, from memory not the greatest surface and fairly exposed to the elements. I wouldn't be surprised if it is another weekend in the house. Forecast showing it being colder last weekend so unless some teams put frost covers down then the same pitches could be off again.
