Why don’t you play your games with a shorter time control? I’ll play any of my games at rapid or blitz time controls if my opponents prefer.

Not at all, I was worse in all of the 3 games I lost on time. Vs Curmudgeon in particular. In fact I would assess last season as my worst yet. In addition to the games I lost, there were at least another two where I got very lucky (Invergowrie & Beef should both have beaten me). I’ll try a bit harder next season* *until I get beat and then I’ll claim I wasn’t trying anyway.

I’m currently playing 2 games for Scotland against Germany in some league. I’m absolutely skelping some guy who has obviously decided that his best tactic is to try and bore me into just giving up. The time control is 3 days per move and even when he only has one legal move to play, he is taking 2 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes to make his move. Absolute shithousery. I miss OTB play.

Div A - Rd 12 Ziggy beats beef2711 by resignation. It all started off fairly cagey, I then made the worst move I can remember making in years. Gave a knight away for absolutely no reason, genuinely no idea what I was even thinking and almost rage resigned. Beef really should have beat me but instead he returned the favour and we ended up in an endgame with equal but imbalanced material (R & 4 pawns vs N & 6 pawns). The computer assesses it as about level but I preferred my position as beef’s 4 pawns were all isolated & 2 of them were doubled. It was tricky though. Thanks for the game (and for letting me off the hook) beef!

Thanks for the response mate, looks like I was wrong to just assume the club would be at fault. BTW, I really did enjoy the streams. I think my favourite moment of commentary was during the humping of Falkirk when it was suggested that one of the Falkirk defenders was feigning injury out of sheer embarrassment.

I don’t want to sound too critical but why are the streams stopping now? I’ve really enjoyed them and think it might have been sensible to continue them until we had a home stadium? Sometimes it really feels like the club is doing everything it can to deter fans.

I played out the position against the computer. 1st time I made an arse of it and lost. 2nd time I won. Chess would be a lot easier if you could have a couple of attempts.

It’s not much consolation but our streams have been better than most of the others I’ve watched (or at least they were the last few seasons).

Well done!! We’ve applied and they’ve came and did the assessment on us Just waiting to get matched with a family. I’d no idea you could get a DIY expert though, hopefully I get a joiner.
