Thanks for the game, I was never convinced by my knight sac but thought it’d be fun. It was confusing, I’m not sure I ever really knew what I was doing (why didn’t I castle?). I thought that you had just about got through the worst of it when you seemed to fall apart.

Div A Ziggy beats AH13STU by resignation. A hard thought game, I came out the opening a pawn up but with a shattered position. It’s not often that I sacrifice my queen, thankfully Stu declined it because the computer shows it was unsound. ps. I think AH13STU was the last undefeated player. Well done Stu!!

I think I explained that in my earlier post ”I shat it” I started worrying about AimHere playing Qd5 & then Qxb7 rather than continuing with my plan. i wasn’t all that aggressive otb. I was quite a boring player, that’s probably why I stopped playing.

A very annoying game from my pov. I got into a great position, shat it and then made 3 mistakes & 1 blunder in a row. You took advantage well though, I think Bh6 is the best move played against me this season. It had never even crossed my mind. Well played.

Ziggy beats Arabjoe in the league. A strange game. It only lasted 19 moves, neither side castled and half of joe’s moves were moving his queen, normally to put me in check. Thanks for the game, I’ve enjoyed both our games. There were points in both were thought I was in trouble.

Ziggy beats GKNeil by resignation. Gkneil made the mistake of not keeping enough pieces protecting his king. Then a weakening pawn move allowed me to crash through. Thanks for the game.

Thanks for the game mate. Yeah, I thought I was slightly better but without having a clear way to win. I think I was was needing you to make a mistake but it just didn’t happen. That’s 8 times we’ve played and I’ve only managed 3 wins.

It’s not a great claim to fame….but I used to play in the same Glasgow League team as a guy who once drew with Karpov.

Thanks mate, I did enjoy that. Taking the pawn is fine but you can’t be so passive afterwards. You either need to try to hold on to it or find a way to counter.

Div A - Rd 2 Ziggy beats Arabjoe by resignation. Not my best game, I sacrificed a pawn for open lines and a lead in development but then didn’t follow it up correctly. It was still a tricky position for white to play though and a couple of inaccuracies helped me. Thanks for the game.
