  1. Ignoring for now the disparity in treatment from the governing bodies towards your club and mine and ignoring the fact that at every possible opportunity you lot rally against the footballing authorities and denounce them as cheats and liars here is how I see it. Airdrieonians folded. We are not Clydebank despite buying their club (and importantly league membership) as Clydebank are alive and well in the juniors. We play at the same stadium as Airdrieonians. We play in the same diamond jersey as Airdrieonians. We have (an increasingly small) number of the same supporters as at Airdrieonians. When people can be arsed we have the same songs as Airdrieonians. We do not have Clydebanks history. We do not have Airdrieonians history. Even if we manage to change the club name to Airdrieonians as some people desire, we will never be the same Airdrieonians. We are a new club. You are a new club so fucking suck it up and get on with it.
  2. Rangers were liquidated though. Reformed as new company and the punishment was imposed as part of the deal to allow the club to be admitted to the SFL3. Different crime, different punishment but I'm sure that won't stop all the moaning fucks from down Ibrox way with their "It's no fair" and whataboutery that they have become so good at.
  3. Almost as good as the Jim Holmes one at the same ground. Classic own goal and one which I reckon a lot of Pars fans have a fondness for seeing.
  4. I don't get this fascination with him being in Switzerland other than avoiding press/fans etc at present. If your alluding to him being in hiding as a result of something criminal surely he'd be away somewhere that he can't be extradited from.
  5. That's seriously one of the most cringeworthy commentaries I've ever heard. That's reason enough to want the pars to fold.
  6. I'm getting on a bit now and the memory is failing but I don't remember ever doing that.
  7. Are Airdrie likely to be saved from relegation first, by DAFC going tits up or league reconstruction?
  8. Again on the subject of Leggo, from his "blog" Quite right they've not heard of it because it doesn't exist here. A simple wee bit of research, probably a dirty word for a fucking nugget like him, would point him in the direction of The Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995
  9. That is an absolute disgrace. Firstly, there is nothing remotely offensive about what he said. Some of the Rangers fans, who weren't even there, may not appreciate the humour but tough on them. Are these the same people who would buy a Frankie Boyle DVD and then complain about it being offensive. Secondly have any of these mortally offended sensitive wee souls ever been on the blower to their beloved club or e-mailed their chairman to complain about the songs and chants that come from their fellow supporters. Nah, though not, so its selective then this being offended by words. Also, on what grounds has the guy even been suspended, as I find it hard to believe there is anything in a contract which suggests he is not allowed to show a sense of humour. Hope he gets a decent employment lawyer to take the club to the cleaners. There is quite clearly no place for enjoyment in football any more. Fans can't stand without a little Hitler telling them to sit down. They can't shout because it upsets other people. Mascots are being complained about for standing in front of visiting fans with bars of soap or driving cardboard box tanks and now stadium announcers can't call a company by the name with which they registered at Companies house. No wonder the game is dying on its arse. And finally I hope that the wee cliping whingeing bastards who complained get their comeuppance soon. Karma man.
  10. Awarded a Charles on the strength of the Buffy reference. sad as fuck I know. edited for a spelling catastrophe/typo
  11. WE!!! Is he for real, I'm more a part of the fabric of Scottish Football than this cunt, I've been paying for a season ticket for over 25 years including a season of insolvency when despite having paid upfront I had to pay at the gate to get in. WE!!! The man is a fucking buffoon. When anyone remembers this condescending pricks part in Scottish Football, it should be as a parasite. Lived off the game for most of his life, gave nothing back and acted as a propagandist for sections of the game who should never have been given the time of day. Fuck off Traynor, you're a despicable cunt and I hope you lose your BBC income and the Record goes out of business. That would be fucking justice. edited to remove unnecessary foul language. I've left the necessary foul language.
  12. Cheers dudes. I'm sure one of their fans will pop along from the SFL3 forum to correct me if wrong but, I believe that East Stirlingshire budget on the basis of sponsorship deals and minimum sums guaranteed from the SFL/SFA. This is the working budget for the start of the season and used to determine player contracts etc. From that point any sums generated over and above, including gate money and fundraising, can be used come the January if there is a need to bring in a player(s). That would be their "means" and is less risky than the projecting ahead method. Alright it means that they are in the bottom tier of the SFL but it could well be above sevco/newco at the start of this season and level with Kilmarnock by next if they don't get straightened out.
  13. Can anyone tell my why this thread, and only this thread, whenever I click to view first unread post, which would normally take me to where i finished browsing, takes me to the most recent and last post? Using firefox 13.0.1. All the other threads I view are fine and load correctly, can my browser just not handle over 2k of pages?
  14. It's Waddell just peddling the same bollocks as last week about letting them into the 2nd tier, regardless of it being SFL1 or SPL2 or something else entirely. It's just typical of the pish that the printed media have been pushing all along so worried are they with regard to their own jobs and all the exclusive nonsense that they are spoon fed by the succession of crooks running that club drying up. After Rangers disappear from the Scottish landscape I'd be deliriously happy with the Record and Scottish Sun following suit.
  15. Airdrie wummin keep their drawers on at the thought of Jim Traynor. He heads into Glasgow for all his deviant needs.
  16. Some of the pre-installed apps that came on your phone can only be removed once your phone has been rooted this is to ensure you don't delete stuff that iis necessary to the running of the phone. If you are on android 2.2 and above you can save apps to your sd card but have to change settings or transfer exisiting ones manually because at the moment your apps are all being saved on the phones internal memory and buying a higher capacity SD card won't make any difference.
  17. On Android there is a My T-Mobile app which essentially is a cut down version of the web page and lets you access your account showing all aspects of your billing including data usage
  18. I'd agree with Priceless as well, for any computing needs. Give them a phone and check the website as they also do delivery. Pricless Computing
  19. Those quotes come from the Dundee in admin thread on 1st division forum
  20. Sorry in advance for going over what is obviously well trodden ground, and it's kind of hard to avoid on a thread with as many posts as this, but is it not the case that the punishment only came about when the interim manager of Livingston Football Club advised the SFL management committee that he was unable to guarantee that the Club would be in a position to fulfil its league fixtures for season 2009-2010 and that the punishment is for this as well as being in interim administration. If my understanding of the above is correct then its hardly an excessive punishment, in fact it's downright lenient to allow the Club to remain in the SFL at all as they may not have been able to guarantee completion of any league fixtures regardless of the league that they were in. The management committee therefore, as they stated, gave the Club the best possible chance for surviving while ensuring the integrity of its top division. Hardly excessive.
  21. If that is accurate, then well done to the 22 clubs who decided to back the SFL particularly those who were opposed to the original decision.
  22. While no-one is able to say for certain that Airdrie would have finished higher than Livi if they too had grossly misspent on wages and a youth system while not having sufficient income to meet these outgoings it can be said that it would not have been detrimental to their cause. And this youth system that produced the 18 year old hotshot, did it cost nothing to have the scouting network in place and the coaches to develop the youngsters as well as paying wages to the players themselves including the ones who never made it to the first team. I think you'll find that starting and maintaining a youth system is a very expensive thing to do and while Livi were haemorrhaging money where did the money for this youth system come. I'll tell you, it came out the rent pot, the leccy pot and the tax pot!
  23. Quite right, the accies were docked their 15 points in the April with, what 6 or 7 games remaining. Given that Livi, if docked points, will receive theirs at the start of the season with 36 games in which to make it up their punishment should be far more severe, especially given the calculating way in which they have gone about the whole business. The accies as a club couldn't fulfil the fixture because the players went on strike and it was the club who were punished, in this instance it is the club or the interim manager on behalf of the club who made the decision and the SFL should rain hellfire upon them for this blatant disregard for the competition. Regardless of which league they find themselves playing in, a penalty of at least 20 points is appropriate.
  24. John ( I ate all the pies) Robertson, on Radio Scotland today was leaping to the defence of Livingston (what a surprise) against the criticism that what they had been doing was tantamount to cheating by paying more on wages than they could afford. The basis for this defence is that they didn’t spend anymore on wages than half the other teams in the league. He claims the wage bill was no more than £400K to £450K. What he fails to grasp is that the other half who didn’t match the spending on wages were therefore at a significant disadvantage when it came to attracting players to the club and also on the size of squad they were able to have. To put it in the simplistic terms which he would understand, Livi had an advantage in spending terms over, in his words, half the teams in the league when the income of the club was not able to sustain it. If the other clubs who were matching them in terms of wage bill, and I doubt it was half, were able to come close to balancing their books or at least be in the position where they paid the other bills then so be it. The crux of the whole argument is that Livingston retained 1st division football by signing and retaining players that they couldn’t afford.
