  1. You should get parked in the away car park no bother, just don't turn up 2 minutes before kick off although even then you may be okay.
  2. Not having been at the match in going by highlights so it may be that the camera (or me) missed the second yellow but it looks like Napier just flashed the red for the second, whereas our player was definitely shown a second yellow then red. Did he maybe go straight red for dangerous play? "they hit the post at 2-0, other than that they never looked like scoring" With the exception of what looked like a perfectly good goal from a well timed Gallagher run at nil nil. Obviously always hard to judge from a camera position not in line and you're having to judge from behind play based on the lines where the grass is cut and gauging perspective especially when it's that tight.
  3. For the first goal, as well as his culpability for the third, McCabe is also standing watching the game go by him and failing to track back. McMaster and Aiken when fit and performing should be in our starting 11 with McCabe and Telfer on the bench for situations when required. If we don't have both of the boys starting next Saturday then there is something far wrong.
  4. Spot on. McCabe giving Janny pelters after the second then highlights going straight to the third where he gifts possession then just casually fucking saunters back is not a particularly good look. There is no way he should be a first pick in the middle if the younger laddies are fit. Especially galling hearing his post match comments slating the defending yet taking absolutely no fucking ownership himself. He absolutely cannot start himself next Saturday.
  5. I'm certain players can currently still be brought in on loan provided they're from a higher league but not sure when that period ends.
  6. McCabe shouldn't be starting for us unless McMaster and/or Aiken are injured. Even if he can hit a decent free kick. Airdrie's locker would appear to be empty.
  7. Despite that very well put point regards him officiating in those 2 wins for us I'm firmly in the not a fan camp. He is overly officious, lacks any consistency even over 90 minutes never mind game to game and is one of the batch of refs who think it's all about them and not the 22 players. In saying that if he awards us a dodgy penalty to win the game or over rules a linesman's offside flag to allow a Lewis McGregor run and finish then he's a great referee, one of the best.
  8. That would be good to see them back in their own town. And a social club would be a nice wee earner surely.
  9. Thoroughly enjoying your club continuing to wind up that certain person with their latest video
  10. Scored your first when our midfielder, and possibly our most influential player in recent weeks, was off the pitch injured. After which you were happy to sit back and for our part we were unable to break that defence down other really than the clearance in front of the goal line in the second half. By the time we get to the stage where our keeper is playing from the centre circle it's actually amazing you didn't get the second before you did.
  11. Shite tournament since the SPFL ruined it with their desire to accommodate the bigot brothers B teams into senior football and it's now an irrelevance. Kirky Rob Roy are at home (well Guys Meadow, Cumbernauld) against the bankies so that may be where I go instead.
  12. So essentially United had a major say in the game being dull? Not that I agree it was dull, maybe I'm just used to us retaining possession for lengthy periods of play before trying to find an opening albeit fairly unsuccessfully on the opening front yesterday. With 18 and 19 year old midfielders making their debut yesterday I'm not disheartened about the result as I'm sure they'll improve as the season goes on.
  13. A midfield lacking in McCabe, Frizzell and to a lesser extent Telfer compounded with losing the dynamism in the middle of McMaster after 4 minutes and our play would have to change slightly. Come to the next return match in Airdrie and see if you still have the same opinion. https://www.airdriefc.com/dtv22-23/230211 Top link on that page is the highlights of one of these negative matches. Ref wouldn't permit either black socks, understandable, or red socks, less understandable, due to a clash with United's tangerine and black socks so we had to wear the third kit. With all that orange and purple on show all that was missing were the flutes seeing as there was a drum already there.
  14. So because it's a Sunday morning and I've got tunes on so can do this at the same time I searched the she/hers posts and find that 1. She doesn't go to many games anyway, or at least none between 2017 and 2021 2. She likes attending concerts, presumably ones without drums, and is partial to the occasional musical (maybe muted with subtitles). My conclusion, this is not a football fan never mind a Dundee United fan and is clearly an attention seeker
  15. It's he really that much of a downgrade on Smith though? I know we all shouted from the rooftops about his workrate but from what I was told, in terms of stats I don't believe it was that exceptional. There were many games where he flattered to deceive in an attacking sense but we gave him a free pass because of his tracking back. McGregor has also shown a willingness to do the tracking back and if he continues to develop as he has so far then with the same number of 1st team games under his belt may well turn out to be an improvement on Smith.
  16. With an attitude as stinking as hers I'd suggest you try to get more drums.
  17. Thank you for the extremely helpful advice which had not occurred to me.
  18. It's not an "extra couple of quid " though, it's 22 quid more than it would cost me and the weans for the return fixture at Airdrie. Then factor in fuel/travel cost and food/drink (at those raised prices you mention) and it's suddenly become a very expensive afternoon out for something which isn't a necessity like the food shop. I'll still more than likely be there but it's fucking grudged.
  19. Think it's because he was so far down the pecking order with McCabe, Telfer, Devenny, McMaster and Aiken ahead of him at the time that they felt it was unlikely he'd be seeing any game time so was released to find another club. If he's not found a club maybe he fancies being a trialist at the weekend.
  20. From his pre match interview last week McCabe was working towards training this week so long as our physio was happy with that but it may be a week too soon. Is Kyan Gunn still with us, I know it's a big ask but he may be a better option than Dunlop.
  21. I was aware that we'd had some players offered to us who Rhys had deemed not suitable for various, and entirely understandable, reasons but hadn't heard of that one. Wonder what the reasoning behind his being turned down would be.
  22. Not just Mulgrew, McCabe as well as looking to bring in and develop young talent has already said that any signing has to be someone who will fit in with his style of play and also fit into the dressing room. He absolutely will not accept anyone with an attitude or thoughts that they are bigger than the team (see Ben Wylie as a recent example) and I applaud that stance. The togetherness of that squad is there for all to see and we don't need some arsehole, no matter how good or experienced disrupting that. The same goes for anyone who has had disciplinary issues in the past .
  23. Fucking ridiculous ticket prices for kids over 12. Shameless robbing b*****ds.
