  1. Not sure how this one will go but basically I think we need at least a draw to keep 3rd place alive. Would go with Clark Smith Sibbick Rowles Cochrane Gino Devlin Haring McKay Shankland Humphrey’s It's possible we could see Kuol and Oda on earlier and maybe potentially some youngsters from the B team introduced, I hope we see a surprise inclusion like a Finlay Pollock in the match day squad at the very least.
  2. I'm pretty certain it will be no one on that list.
  3. It was tounge in cheek tbh, it's very unlikely (the guy does love scotland though) but that's why I said someone like avb, not meaning avb exactly, I guess i would just like to see an ambitious appointment made, aim for the highest that we can get etc, if we get knocked back then fair enough, but at least try to get someone of a high calibre.
  4. Firstly would like to commend the club for coming to the right decision of getting rid of Neilson, it's never nice when someone has to lose their job and I don't wish him any bad will but the guy just didn't have a clue, the football was atrocious and he just did not have a plan b when things were going south, Also like others have said we already have more losses now with 7 games left than we did in the entirety of last season, we were clearly going backwards and it just seems as if he was too stubborn in certain situations i.e formation, style and favourite players to truly turn things around. Now that it's done I feel a great weight has been lifted and am feeling more positive about the future, in terms of a new manager I am happy to see a Naismith or a Locke (maybe both) take the club until the end of the season and see what happens, I geniunely think they can't do any worse than if we had stuck with Robbie. once we get to the summer we need to take our time and sound out a top manager who is tactically switched on and has more than just a plan a, hopefully someone who focuses and brings a style that instills confidence in our best attributes and does not worry about the opposition. Would love to see the club be ambitious and maybe go for someone like an AVB (andre villas boas) or someone left field like that.
  5. For me Neilson has to go tonight, the club must act now, it's not even about 3rd anymore its more about the fact that we are going backwards, the club stuck with him (neilson) after we lost to brora 2 years back and I wanted him gone then, It almost looked like the club was proven right when we got third place last season but now it is as clear as day that Neilson has lost the dressing room, we are now down to 4th after being clear in 3rd and at one stage 11 points ahead of the team who are now 3rd, that is completely unacceptable and its actually a capitulation, Robbie thank you for a couple of third place and finishes and getting us out the championship but you are not the man to take us anywhere, it's time up.
  6. Can't see anything other than a Tic win unfortunately, would love to be proven wrong and us actually turn them over for once but I honestly just can't see it. If shankland Is fit we have an outside chance imo but it is still a slim one tbh it seems like half our team are out through illness as well. You never know though I felt the same when we played them at Hampden in 2012 and we won that day so hopefully its a good omen. I would go with a back 4 and try to throw them off a bit Clark Smith Sibbick Rowles Cochrane Devlin Snodgrass Gino Grant McKay Shankland Prediction is 1-2 to them after ET. Hope I'm wrong.
  7. We seem to be going through a bit of a dip in regards to performances at the moment, our away form does seem especially poor, but doesn't this always seem to be the case most seasons? When was the last time we had double figure wins away from home in a season? 05/06 maybe?probably our best season In my life time following us. I think we definitely need to improve on that Even if we could target around 7/8 wins away from home in a season would be a good achievement, it's funny I do think we are on the correct course and are moving in the right direction, we appear to be improving our squad every season and I think getting 3rd this year will allow is to become even stronger next season which would hopefully put more of a gap between us and the chasing pack below and maybe get us slightly closer to the old firm. I understand the frustrations in our support but I do feel like we are slowly moving forward.
  8. Will be an interesting match, but one that we should be coming out of with 3 points in, I will go with a nervy 2-1 win for the Jambos with all goals scored in the 2nd half. Clark Hill Sibbick Rowles Smith Devlin Snoddy Cochrane McKay Shankland Humphrys I fancy James Hill for a goal and Shanks to wrap it up late on before Van veen scores in ET to shoot our nerves up a little in the dying moments.
  9. Tough game and a potential bananna skin me thinks, but we really should be progressing to the next round here, I will go for a 0-2 win but will probably be a nervy affair. Humphrys has to start, only area I think we need to look at is midfield, will snoddy be able to play on the astro? If devlin is fit I would play devlin and Halliday or Grant.
  10. Yaaasss another 3 points for the Gorgie!!! What a goal from steven humphrys
  11. Hopefully we bounce back tomorrow will be no walk In the park but I'm confident we will get over the line. Get back to basics, play players in their correct positions and have more than 1 midfielder in our midfield would be a good start. I'm going for a nervy 2-0 home win Clark Hill Sibbick Rowles Smith Snoddy Halliday Cochrane Gino Shankland Humps
  12. Same old Performance against Rangers then eh? How is it we can give celtic a decent game almost every time we play them and then are just utterly rank rotten when we come up against in my opinion a poorer team? It's absolutely mind boggling, for me the team selection was a huge error tonight not saying we would have won as the players were poor but when you have a 1 man midfield against a decent side that's what happens. Oh well on to the next one, need to bounce back with a win against United and then we can put this mess to bed. P.s I hope for our sake Celtic knock them out the scottish cup cause we just don't do Rangers apparently?
  13. I Have always wondered how Gino in the number 10 role In behind Shankland and humphrys would fare? could be a decent option in This game.
  14. We are in form and have pretty good options on the bench, I hope devlin is ok for the game? I can see both teams scoring and hopefully we can get the win, a draw wouldn't be a disaster though, I do fancy us to get something here. Would go with Clark Hill Sibbick Rowles Smith Devlin Snodgrass Cochrane McKay Gino Shankland Hopefully 2-1 to us, failing that would take a 1-1 draw.
  15. It's not a bad point away to livi these days tbh, Looking back at the highlights it looks like we had the better of the chances and if Kuol shows a bit more composure then we would have won that imo, but we need to be patient with him and I'm sure he will start putting those type of chances away soon enough. Positives for us are that we rested 2 or 3 starters and still came out with a point at a tough venue. I do fancy us to take something against Rangers on Wednesday, I just hope that we get a fast start and get after them from the start, we are capable of a result if we play to our best imo.
