  1. Whats the obsession with some posters slagging off other Well fans folks? Its well seen that we're in a break from club football. If you don't approve of, or even despise it would seem, their views just ignore them. In my opinion, they're all entitled to their view. Surely there's Motherwell related football issues to be discussed? Our league position? New signings? Stevie Hammell's record card to date? Injuries? Plenty to choose from. Glad to read some more positive and constructive offerings though.
  2. Aye, most punters I think would agree about our improved style of play, but not so sure about line ups, tactics, formations and play. You may well be right about the majority giving a nod to these factors but I've heard sufficient numbers of fans questioning at least one of them to suggest to me it might not be quite so clear cut.
  3. I wouldn't have thought that Kelly was a typical Rangers type keeper, although he did start out with them. We'll see.
  4. We always enjoy our awayday in Perth and yesterday was no exception. The Remembrance Service pre-match was a really nice touch, if a little long, and our club can learn from it. Well done. I always try to bring my lads along to Perth if I can, to show them how, at their level, football should be played. Nothing fancy just get the basics right. I hope too that Stevie Hammell learnt something from auld heid Callum Davidson. A draw was the right result. Saints had the better of the first half and we had the better of the second. Both sides could have won and both could have lost it. Credit to Saints, we had to work to make our chances. No standouts in our team but it was encouraging to see Louis Moult last 90 minutes. He would not have been on for a full game had the WC break not been coming immediately afterwards. Nick Walsh was overly fussy and inconsistent. Fortunately we escaped any red cards. The worst referee we've had for a wee while, well really a long while. Credit to your players, they know a weak ref when they see one, as they should, and took full advantage, and thats not meant as a criticism thats a compliment.
  5. A pretty good take on where we are. Short term and probably in the longer one too, Hammell is going to have to modify his approach, if we are to be reasonably successful, by our standards. These frailties are by no means unique to yesterday's game, and we've witnessed them for some time now.
  6. Just seen the upated footage. As clear a red card as you'll ever see. Watty knew what he was doing and he knew he'd been caught. Hopefully Liam Fox fines him for that. A real nasty challenge.
  7. True to some extent, but I get the feeling that everything, mostly bad, is happening to him rather than him being in control and making things happen. Would you agree? We're losing games by fine margins, but worryingly, its becoming a habit. I'm not panicking yet but another few losses, especially on Tayside, and I'll be losing sleep.
  8. Surely the subject for Bois banner? Anyone mispelling the name of our esteemed leader should be forced to watch, in person, every home game against the OF for the next 15 years, with no time off for good conduct. Oh, and stick them in the South Stand.
  9. A lot of negativity on here tonight but, not quite, a meltdown. This was always going to be a really tough game and, given our record against them, and current form, the result was unsurprising. What was disappointing was our nervous approach to the game, but thats nothing new, and stretches back years. Tonight won't make or break our season. Saturday will be more important for us and we need to get back on track and quickly.
  10. Yea, Carson and Kelly are of a similar standard but perhaps Carson is more commanding in the air. Kelly ain't great with cross balls but he is what he is.
  11. It doesn't really concern me what others post on our other sites - thats up to them and they're entitled to their opinion. I'm no more important than they are. I'm certainly not obsessed by them. Hammell is a rookie manager. He's got some things right and some things wrong. A popular but risky appointment at the time, and those views are still being expressed. Hey ho. Quelle surprise.
  12. A decent, if slightly and understandably, biased account on the Arabs website. Interesting that they still refer to themselves and their east coast "neighbours" Aberdeen, as the New Firm. Still living in the past I see. From our POV a sound win and more importantly, an impressive performance.
  13. Be positive and look to hit them when they're down. No better time to catch them.
  14. Well its a pretty sweeping, very generalised, and disappointing opinion of rank and file police officers, as opposed to the corporate body of Police Scotland, if I understand you correctly. If I'm misinterpreting your comment then I apologise. Police officers are no worse or better individually than any other occuption. However, I digress. More to the point, as others have pointed out, Callum Slattery, needs to be afforded a second chance, take it, learn from it and move on.
