  1. Final is on: 1st leg Thursday 23rd May 8pm kick-off 2nd leg Sunday 26th May kick-off tbc
  2. First half defo killed it, Airdrie were far too comfortable and were given time and room the longer the half went on and that was how the goals came about. We lumped the ball in the air too often and when we had it on the ground, they closed us down giving us no room and we had no ideas how or what to do. The fear now is Partick copies Airdrie's tactics they will kill us to but we will need to see how the players respond.
  3. Would agree when he hasn't come on in the last 2 games.
  4. Hats off to Airdrie, they know how to play us, they totally close us down 2, 3, 4 men around us whenever we have the ball and then they win it and play around and through us and we gave no answer to it and the gaffer just sits there. He has no idea compared to McCabe. Quite simply bloody shocking performance and no doubt the gaffer will come out with same pish post match.
  5. No we are not, to be honest this season we are having a way better season than anyone could have imagined to be totally honest, but for me what annoys me more than anything is that when the going gets tough like when the conditions git worse and Arbroath responded to playing with the wind in that second half and got that first goal, we didn't and neither did the management and this is not the first time this season we have failed to respond and that is what annoys me the most. Wish Murray would show his displeasure with them as maybe they would try much more. The game was just hoof it up the park and play head tennis all night. Just so frustrating.
  6. So true, well done Arbroath, showed guts that we didn't.
  7. Simply put not good enough, no idea how to cope out there in the second half, Murray is way far too soft with them. 3 year contract....absolute joke, piss poor tactics, players with no idea. A game of hoofball, simply shocking, total piss goalkeeping from Kev. Time for Murray to own it cos if he cannot sort this then he needs to go along with those letting him down.
  8. IM is too soft on this and he needs to get tough with them or we need someone else to take charge. Arbroath the much better side.
  9. Pars fans talking about bringing in Ashcroft in on loan from Dundee. Wonder if we would still be interested if he is indeed available? Personally think he would be an excellent signing but feel we won't be bringing in any more plus we are covered at CB with Corr and Masson even if IM won't play them.
  10. Well said that man, 100 percent agree with you. I have said for months that a solid 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 is required.
  11. Totally pathetic, no idea on the park and no idea from the dugout on how to change it. Haven't played at all since Tannadice, heven help us in 2 weeks time when united come to us. Gaffer needs to take the blame as well as the players, never expected us to be up there beside united but expected us to work hard and compete on the park but they aren't doing that and formations and tactics are rubbish.
  12. This is difficult to watch, second to every ball, lack of movement and ideas. Airdrie's teamwork far better than us. Management also lacking any idea, oh to have Frank Connor type manager who accepted no shite.
  13. Not in the know but get the feeling it could be about either where the next project will be or maybe it could be about a major investment/tie in?
  14. They have just totally crumbled since winning at Tannadice, they have let the plaudits got to their heads and now in a rut and Murray has no idea how to sort it. One man doesn't sort it but we really miss Stanton. Totally had enough of this 4-1-3-2 ect formations, get back to old fashioned 442 or 433, we are a soft touch and cannot defend as a team. Really sick of this
  15. Agree with you he was unlucky in the summer with injuries. He was really good last week then gets dropped for today just stupid, just like finishing the game last week with 2 at the back. I would play him alongside a commanding cb, that hopefully we can bring in and hopefully we can maybe bring in cover at full back.
  16. Cannot comment on today's game as I couldn't be there but what I can say is it was really nieve to go into the game with 3 at the back and not 1 of them being a centre back, imo that is just suicidal given that our current form has been poor and we cannot defend cross balls. IM gives me the impression that he thinks that the midfield and attack players will outweigh the frailties we have at the back. We had 3 cb's on the bench, ok Murray was likely not fit but why was Corr dropped? And ok he doesn't rate Masson but hell that is their natural position. They need to find a way to stop the rot or this blip will go on and on, we need an old fashioned cb or 2, a leader as neither Murray or Watson will not last the remainder of the season without injury let's be honest.
  17. Lol, yeah we all have opinions mate, but funnily I though he had an excellent game but agree with you that he will drop out in favour of Murray and or Watson. He only got the nod because Euan Murray was out.
  18. Been rumoured both in the summer and this window that we are interested in Stevenson, what do you guys think?
  19. Brown will go back into his defensive midfield role when Watson comes back. Corr will play alongside Watson if Euan Murray is out otherwise it will be Murray beside Watson. The gaffer will always play his most experienced players when fit, Dylan Corr deserves a run in the team for me based on his performance against QP.
  20. At the moment barring any further injuries/niggles etc, I would say that if fit enough big Kev comes back in as IM has said to the courier and Millen back after the suspension, then only other decision would be whether it is Connelly or Mullin on the right and that's it. As long as Watson makes it through training then he will be added to the bench but don't see any other changes.
  21. Watson to hopefully get some minutes in a bounce game with Dundee and all going well could be in the squad for the weekend. Big Kev could also be back all going well, whilst it is a groin issue for Murray according to the gaffer.
  22. Not sure, I believe so but depends on what is in the ref's report.
