Tumble dryers are the easy option to dry clothes but use a lot of electric. They have a drying green but it seems they do not use it and they take the easy option. My dad would not be able to hang washing but I think my mum could. I realise when you get to their age everything gets more difficult to do and if there is an easy option you take it. I cannot blame them but I know they are going to get a fright when they get their electric bill when the prices rise.

Good post Snafu. Sadly I can see all of these things you say happening. It's going to be a very tough couple of years. I have parents that are approaching 90 and I very worried about them. They use the tumble dryer all the time just now. I am explaining to them the cost and how much it will go up but they do not seem to comprehend by how much. I wish someone had the answer.

I did not vote to leave. Anyway just now with everything going on in the world things are very difficult. I'm pretty confident in a few years things will turn out for the better though. It has been a bit of a nightmare leaving with all the negotations etc. Can you imagine how bad it would be if Scotland voted for independence.

It is probably over a year that I have been reading p and b Carpetmonster. I wouldn't say I was shocked. It is more the fact I just could not understand how posters can be so abusive to others. There is no need. And I'm not a Simpsons fan so pay no attention to meme's of them. I had to google it.

I don't mind at all Durie. I enjoy watching Nana, Nigel, Dan, Neil and Mark. All fantastic presenters in their own way.

I have never posted misinformation. I have posted facts which I have backed up by links and I have posted my opinion of different things. Just because other posters have a different opinion it does not make mine wrong or mine being misinformation. A forum is a better place with posters from all walks of life with different views imo. There is never an excuse for abuse.

Fair enough BR. If you haven't watched it why and how can you say it is anti Scotland? You are of course allowed your opinion of Nigel Farage which does not upset me at all. Why would it? I obviously disagree. He is a brilliant presenter on the channel.
