  1. Just seen the announcement from Cove - you must have a good crystal ball! Shame about Gilmour though, as I thought he looked a classy passer in the middle of the park and not afraid to get stuck in either. Hope Hartley has someone as good lined up.
  2. Bingo. You’re good! https://coverangersfc.com/2023/01/11/evan-towler-returns-to-dons/
  3. Yes, surely. Had high hopes for Towler at the beginning of the season, but not no quite worked out.
  4. That’s Paterson just confirmed. Got to be a step up from what we’ve got at the moment.
  5. Couldn’t make the game so was following the score tonight. Good result, but sounds like we didn’t play our best. Hoping for a new face or two in the upcoming window.
  6. Looking forward to the game though. I've got really mixed feelings - if we lose then it's one step closer to McIntyre out (good), but would love a win. After an awful start to the season, a couple of good signings seems to have made a difference to Cove. Even including the drubbing v Raith, we've only lost 1 of the last 5 league games. It'll be a tough task against Caley though - they look decent and my favourites to get the automatic promo spot. Looking forward to it though. What are the odds on Vigurs on as a sub to score the winner?
  7. Few days late to this, but I reckon I'm the 2nd Cove fan to post. Only one more to go now...
  8. What a difference 3 points makes. I’ve gone from worrying about the long season ahead to genuinely looking forward to it. I was worried when I saw Fyvie was out, but thought Cove dominated and well deserved the win. Thoughts on the new guys: Sanders - looks the business. Big lad, but got pace too. Looks a born leader, could hear him talking all game, marshalled the defence well. Impressive. MOTM for me. McClelland - good partnership with Sanders. I’d be happy with these two. Looks like we’ve genuinely got choice at the back now. I’ve only seen two games with Gilmour but in both he looks very comfortable on the ball, good passer with a touch of class - a step above this level. Longstaff - he got pelters from the Queen’s Park fans as he wasn’t great for them last season. I wasn’t expecting much, but he looked good yesterday - tidy, skilful footballer. Arbroath - they’re obviously not the same team as last season. They remind me of Cove’s early matches this season. I’m sure they’ll improve through the season when they get back to full strength. 5 subs on at once though. That’s a new one for me. Didn’t work, but I did love hearing the voices of incredulity around as they were getting ready.
  9. There’s been too many cancelled events in the not too distant past. I would much prefer the games went ahead. Was really looking forward to the Dundee game, first evening telly kick off at Balmoral.
  10. Fantastic. If he’s half as good as his dad then it’ll be a decent signing. Hopefully things looking up now.
  11. Thanks 1922. About time Draper got a suitable move. Hopefully that also means that space & wages are now available for a new signing or two
